Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Vijayawada announces PhD Admission for session 2020-21

 

NTRUHS PhD Admission 2020 – Applications are invited from eligible candidates with requisite qualifications as per PhD Regulations 2018 in the field of Modern Medicine (Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical subjects), Dental Sciences, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) Courses, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Naturopathy and other Allied Health Sciences for PhD Program of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada for the year 2020-21

Duration

PhD Course shall be a minimum of 3 years (full time) and 4 years (part time) for Post Graduates

Types of PhD Research Program & Facilities

The candidates seeking PhD admission can apply in any one of the following categories

Subject-wise PhD Program

  • An eligible candidate can apply in the subject of his/her specialty (e.g. Microbiology) to work under the guidance of a guide in the same specialty (e.g Microbiology)

Interdisciplinary PhD Program

  • A candidate can apply for an interdisciplinary PhD program with two or more related subjects in any one faculty (e.g. Modern Medicine, Ayurveda) or different faculties (e.g. Nursing and Physiotherapy).

Facilities for Research

  • Normally, the requisite facilities for conduct of PhD work are expected to be available at the Centre(s) where a candidate registers for PhD work.

Eligibility Criteria for NTRUHS PhD Admission 2020

PhD (Full-time)

  • Master’s degree (MD, MS, DNB/MDS/MD (Ayurveda)/M.Sc (Nursing)/ MPT or M.Sc-Medical) in any subject allied to Medical Sciences of Dr NTR University of Health Sciences
  • Master’s degree from any other recognized University, which is recognized as equivalent by this University, taking into consideration the recognition of the Central Councils like MCI, DCI, CCIM, INC, etc., M.Phil in Medical Sciences
  • MBBS with PG Diploma recognized by MCI and two papers (as first author) published in peer reviewed journals are allowed to apply

PhD (Part-time)

  • Teachers with requisite qualifications mentioned above in (a) working at least for one year (as on the date of notification for PhD admission) in colleges or centers affiliated to Dr NTRUHS
  • Teachers/Scientists/Researchers working in State and National Research Institutes/Universities with 5 years of experience

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age limit to apply for Ph.D. Program for both Full Time and Part Time candidates is 52 years as on the date of admission notification (10 am to 01. 00 PM)

NTRUHS PhD Admission 2020 Application Process

  • Application Form, Regulations for PhD Program, List of Recognized centre and List of Recognized Guides are available in the University Website (https://ntruhs.ap.nic.in), which can be downloaded from 17th September 2020
  • The filled in application form along with enclosures and a non-refundable fee of Rs.4000/- by way of Demand Draft drawn on or after 17th September 2020, in favour of “The Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences payable at Vijayawada” should reach the Convener, PhD Admissions-2020
  • The list of documents to be attached are mentioned in the application form

Application Fee

  • The following dates are fixed to submit the filled – in applications at university office, along with examination fee of Rs.4000/ and Marks Memo Fee of Rs.300/-

Exam Pattern

The patter of Pre-PhD Exam for both Paper-I (Research Methodology common for all candidates) and Paper-II (Research Subject) will be as follows

Section-I

Answer any two (2) questions out of three (3) questions and each question carries 15 marks

2 x 15 = 30 Marks

Section-II

Answer any five (5) questions out of eight (8) questions and each question carries 10 marks

5 x 10 = 50 Marks

Section-III

Answer all 20 multiple choice questions and each question carries one (1) mark

20 x 1 = 20 Marks

Total

100 Marks
