Ambedkar University Delhi announces Admission to UG, PG, MPhil PhD Programs 2019

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Admission 2019 - Dr B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi has released the notification for admission to the Post-Graduate and Under-Graduate Programmes in different disciplines for the academic year 2019-20.

About the AUD

  1. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Delhi is popularly known as Ambedkar University Delhi or simply AUD. The University has been established by the Govt. of the NCT of Delhi through an Act of the State Legislature in 2007.
  2. The University has been named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the great Indian reformer who was also the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constitution of India.
  3. The University provides hostel facilities to the female students at Kashmere Gate Campus. Female students can apply for hostel accommodation after securing admission in any course of the University.

  2. The total intake this year in most of the MA Program is 42 (including general as well as reserved seats as per the norms set by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi). The total number of seats in other MA Programs are:

Eligibility Criteria for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Admission 2019

Undergraduate Programs

BA Programs

  1. Admission to the BA Programs will be based on the marks obtained in Class XII exams.
  2. To be eligible to apply for admission to BA Mathematics, students must have obtained a minimum of 65% in Mathematics in class XII exam from a recognised board. For applying to BA Honours in both Mathematics and Economics, the marks obtained in Mathematics in class XII exam must be included in the calculation of the aggregate of the best four subjects of the class XII exam.
  3. To be eligible to apply for admission to BA Honours English, students should have obtained a minimum of 65% marks in English in the class XII exam.

 

Postgraduate Programs

  1. To be eligible for MA Programs at AUD, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45 or 50 % marks (or an equivalent grade) as the case may be, in different Programs from a recognised University in any discipline (there is a relaxation of 5% of marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Person with Disability

Reservation of Seats

  1. Admissions will be made in accordance with the reservation policies of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi in respect of various social groups and other categories as applicable to institutions of higher education. Applicants claiming the benefit of reservations will have to produce the requisite certificates from the competent authorities
  2. The current scheme of reservations is given below:
  3. Students from the NCT, Delhi 85%
  4. All India 15%

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Admission 2019 Application Process

  1. Go to www.aud.ac.in>Click on Admissions 2019>Read instructions carefully>Choose UG/PG application link
  2. Select Program>Enter Preferences>Enter email address & Captcha>Click Submit>Click Register
  3. The Application Process is computerised for all Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs
  4. There are no paper application forms. There is one application form which is common for all BA & B.Voc Programs and another application form which is common for all Postgraduate Programs
  5. Application forms can be filled on-campus at the AUD Campus in Kashmere Gate or Karampura Campus or off- campus (online) by logging onto www.aud.ac.in and following the instructions provided there

Application Fee

  1. The application fee of Rs. 510 per postgraduate programme (Rs. 200 per programme for SC/ ST/ PD candidates) and Rs. 390 per undergraduate programme (Rs. 150 per programme for SC/ST/PwD candidates) can be paid by Demand Draft (DD)/Cash/Online.
  2. If you opt for payment by DD, please have with you a DD for the correct amount. Please use either Mozilla Firefox or Chrome as your browser.

 

Payment Options

Demand Draft

  1. You should have with you a DD in favour of ‘Ambedkar University Delhi’ payable at New Delhi. The amount will depend upon the number of courses you are going to apply for (see above).
  2. Enter the DD details in the online application form where required. After successful submission of the online application form, download a PDF copy.
  3. A printed copy of the application form, along with the DD, has to be deposited at the Kashmere Gate Campus of AUD or sent by post to: The Dean, Student Services Division, Room no- 4, Ambedkar University Delhi Lothian Road, Kashmere Gate, Delhi 110 006

 

Cash

  1. Visit the AUD campus in Kashmere Gate. Get a receipt after making payment in cash of the requisite amount, depending on the number of courses you wish to apply for. Enter cash receipt details in the online application form where required.
  2. You can fill the application form either at the AUD computer lab or online from anywhere.
  3. Online (Credit/Debit card/Net banking)
  4. Choose the online option when required. Click on the save button You will be directed to the billdesk payment gateway.
  5. Enter the details of your credit/debit card or net banking particulars. Once payment is made successfully, you will be redirected to the online application form. If the payment is not successful you will be directed again to the billdesk payment gateway.

 

Registration

  1. Access www.aud.ac.in and click on Admissions 2019. Choose UG/PG option.
  2. Enter your preference of the programme/s in the box indicating the order of preference (i.e. 1, 2, 3...). Choose the category (including Foreign Students) you belong to.
  3. Enter your email ID (an authentication code will be sent to this address).
  4. Enter the Captcha and click on Submit.
  5. Click on Register. Check your email. You should have received a mail from admissions@aud.ac.in containing your Password. Please check your notification/spam folder if the mail is not found in your inbox.
