JSK Journalism Fellowships 2017-18
Stanford University invites applications for John S Knight JSK Journalism Fellowships 2017-18. The candidates who are interested and eligible can submit their application for the aforesaid fellowships.
The JSK fellowship helps to improve the quality of news and information reaching the public
Journalism fellowships at Stanford was started in 1966 with a powerful idea of giving reporters and editors free run of the classrooms and libraries of a great university, which would pay off in superb journalism.
Eligibility Criteria for JSK Journalism Fellowships 2017
U.S. candidates should have minimum 7 years of full-time professional experience to be eligible for JSK Fellowship
The International candidates should have minimum 5 years experience. However, the candidates having less experience but with outstanding achievements will also be considered for JSK Fellowship
There is no requirement of College Degree from the candidates. Journalists employed by a news organization or journalism freelancers are eligible to apply for fellowship
Journalism entrepreneurs and innovators are entitled to apply
Journalism business and management executives are eligible for the fellowship

Award Amount
Fellows receive a stipend of USD 65,000 as well as supplements for housing, childcare, health insurance and moving expenses
Tuition costs at Stanford are also covered; the amount of these supplement funds will be based on the family size which ranges from $13000 to $50000
