Admission Notice MBA (BT) 2009
MBA (Biotechnology) is an upcoming discipline, integrating Biotechnology and Management. The Department of Management Sciences, University of Pune has pioneered a two year full time MBA (Biotechnology) degree program since 2002 (intake capacity 60 seats), along with its two year full time MBA program running successfully since 1971.
Eligibility: The candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master,s degree in Science (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Marine Biology, Microbiology, and Zoology), Agriculture, Ayurved, Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology, and Veterinary Sciences from a statutory university.
Candidates seeking admission to MBA (Biotechnology) programme (intake capacity 60 seats) should apply for AIMS Test for Management Admission scheduled on 8/2/2009.
Reservations: 50% seats are reserved for SC, ST, DTNT and OBC category students as per Government of Maharashtra rules. 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped students as per government of India rules.
1 seat is reserved for J&K student as per rules.
Selection Process:Based on overall merit of ATMA score and GD/PI conducted by PUMBA.
Important Dates:
Candidates need to qualify ATMA test being conducted on 8th February 2009.
Last date for obtaining ATMA application kit is 17th January 2009.
LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED APPLICATION AT PUMBA: 30-04-2008
The prospectus and the application form are available from 5/1/2009 upto 15/4/2009 at PUMBA office on payment of DD of Rs.900 (for reserved category Rs.700) in favor of "The Registrar, University of Pune", payable at Pune from any nationalized Bank. Forms can also be obtained by post by sending a DD of Rs.950/- (for reserved category Rs.750)
