Admission Procedure
- MDI uses CAT for shortlisting candidates for all the above programme.
- Apply to MDI by filling in a separate application form.
- Foreign /NRI applicants can apply by submitting valid GMAT scores
- Final selection will be based on the performance in the CAT / GMAT and subsequent group discussion/simulation exercise and personal interview.

Application Fee: MDI Prospectus and Application forms are available on cash payment of Rs. 1500/-. For request to send by mail a DD of Rs. 1550/- in favour of "Management Development Institute" payable at New Delhi. Applicant should also send two self addressed (with Tel. No.) adhesive stickers clearly superscribing on the envelope the choice of programme.
Eligibility: The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or
equivalent CGPA in any discipline of any of the Universities
incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or
other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or
declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956,
or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HR
D, Government of India. The Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three
years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2)
or equivalent. The basis of computing the percentage obtained by the
candidate in the bachelor's degree would be based on the practice
followed by the university/ institution from where the candidate has
obtained the degree. In case of the candidates being awarded
grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the
equivalence certified by the university/ institution from where they
have obtained bachelor's degree. In case the university/ institution
does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the
equivalence would be established by MDI by dividing obtained CGPA with
the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.
Candidates appearing for the final examination for the bachelor's
degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply, subject to
furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1st October, 2007, otherwise they may be asked to withdraw from the program.

Applicants are required to appear for the COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT) conducted by IIMs, to be held on 19 November 2006

MDI uses CAT for short listing the candidates for its programmes. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in conducting the programme.
