Admission to the 9 th Batch of MBA Programme 2007 – 09

The School of Management Studies (SMS) at the University of Hyderabad offers two – year full time AICTE approved residential MBA Programme. Courses offered at SMS are aimed at grooming well – rounded Managers, equipping them with expertise both in functional as well as intra and inter personal areas. Personal Effectiveness, Personally Development and Soft Skills apart from others receive adequate attention SMS is backed by highly accomplished faculty. The University is ranked among the top 5 Universities in the country and has the distinction of being identified as University with potential for excellence by the University Grants Commission.

Eligibility : Students who wish to apply for admission to this programme at the University of Hyderabad for the 2007 – 09 Batch:

MBA Entrance Exam Question Bank CD for Practice

(a) should have completed a three year bachelor’s degree programme (or its equivalent) in any discipline in an institution recognized by the Association of Indian University/AICTE, by, June 2007. Those completing their final examinations by June, 2007 can also apply : (b) should have applied for CAT – 2006 scheduled on 19.11.2006 (The IIMs CAT advertisement which appeared in leading, newspaper on 17 th July. 2006), (c) should apply to the University of Hyderabad indicating their CAT Registration Number and Test Centre by November 25, 2006 to The Deputy Registrar (Acad. & Exams.) University of Hyderabad , PO Central University , Hyderabad – 500046.

How to apply : Prospectus – cum – application forms can be obtained in person or by post from 4 th October 2006 on all working days from The Dy. Registrar (Acad. & Exams) at the above address against cash payment as follows.

Each copy of Prospectus – cum – Application Form costs: Rs 600/- for General Category Candidates and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/PH Category Candidates. T he Prospectus – cum – application form can also be obtained by Ordinary post upto 20 th November, 2006 from the Deputy Registrar (Acad & Exams) at the above address by sending (a) requisition (b) one self – addressed slip (c) a crossed demand draft for Rs. 650/- for General Category Candidates and Rs. 350/- for SC/ST/Ph category candidates drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad payable at Sate Bank of India, HU Campus Branch (Code NO. 5916), Hyderabad – 46 or Andhra Bank, Nampally Branch (Code No. 378), Hyderabad – 500 001.

The Prospectus – cum – Application form can also be downloaded form the University’s website at www.uohyd.ernet.infrom October 4 th, 2006 . The downloaded application form, duly filled in as per the instructions and with supporting papers should be sent to the Deputy Registrar (Acad & Exams) together with a Bank Draft of Rs. 600/- in the case of General Category and Rs. 300/- in the case of SC/ST/PH Category.

Please note that :

Candidates short – listed for Group Discussion and Interview will be notified by the end of March / April 2007, based on their percentile scores obtained in the CAT Test 2006.
Group Discussion/Interviews will be held on the University of Hyderabad Campus for the short – listed candidates in April 2007.
Admissions will be finalized in the first week of May 2007.
The School of Management Studies at the University will be using CAT Results for short – listing the candidates for its two year – full time MBA Programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
