CAT 2010 EXAM Q. PAPER DIFFERENT FOR EACH APPLICANT

Prometric, the company which was responsible for conducting the very first on-line CAT last year, has currently come up with a method to make sure higher precision in the entrance tests by bringing out distinctive sets of question papers different for every applicant in 2010.

"Every question paper is going to be a little different from one other, nevertheless its assessment will be done on the same scale," Managing Director of Prometric, Soumitra Roy mentioned.

"Because every question paper will be different, it may be entirely possible that a few questions tend to be tougher compared to others. We'll take this into account while managing evaluation," added Roy.

Doing this along with additional steps are actually taken to preserve accuracy and impartiality while testing students in the CAT 2010 exam, the agency said.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is held annually for admissions into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).

The all-India test will be held across 33 cities between Oct 27 and Nov 24 for the academic year 2010.

Registration and scheduling will open on Aug 30 and close on Sep 30. Vouchers for CAT 2010 would be available for sale at select Axis Bank branches from Aug 30 through Sep 27.

Prometric will also be releasing a collection of short online videos to familiarise candidates with the registration and scheduling process, test day procedures and other aspects of CAT including the scoring method.

Videos will be available on the CAT website for candidates to review after Aug 30.
