WHO CAN APPLY: Candidates should have a bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern/ a degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or law/ a post graduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any university/institution recognized by AIU/AICTE. 45% for canditates in case of SC/ST .

Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by October 05, 2007 after completing all the requirements for obtaining the qualifying degree before June 30, 2007.

HOW TO APPLY: Step 1: Candidates seeking admission to FMS-BHU will be required to purchase CAT 2006(conducted by IIMs ) Bulletin available from leading Banks from July 17 to August 17, 2006 and appear in CAT 2006 on SUNDAY, November 19, 2006. Completed CAT application forms should be directly sent to the concerned IIM on or before September 09, 2006 (for details see CAT advertisements in leading newspapers in mid July 2006).

The FMS, BHU uses CAT for short-listing the candidates for its two-year full time Post-Graduate Programme in Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Step 2: Candidates are also required to register at FMS, BHU through separate application form to be obtained from Faculty of Management Studies, BHU, Varanasi from July 20, 2006 either in person against crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) / Banker's Cheque of Rs. 650/- (Rs. 350/- for SC/ST) till November 24, 2006 OR by post through a requisition along with crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) of Rs. 700/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST) and self addressed envelope of 32x26 CM. till November 5, 2006. The bank draft/banker's Cheque should be drawn in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at SBI, BHU Main Branch (Code 0211). SC/ST applicants must submit a copy of caste certificate for obtaining application form at concessional rate. Last date of receipt of completed application form in the Faculty of Management Studies, BHU is November 25, 2006.
