2. Principals Of Medical Imaging: X-ray – methods of Generation, detection Biological effects, Image characteristics. Ultrasound – Generation, detection, diagnostic methods, Image characteristics, Biological Effects. Radionuclide Imaging:- Diagnostic methods, Imaging methods, Characteristics Biological effects. MRI:- Generation, detection of NMR signal, Imaging methods, NMR spectroscopy, Characteristics, Biological effects.

3. Signals & Systems, DSP: Types of Signals and Systems, Properties of Systems, Convolution, Correlation, Fourier series and transforms (Discrete Time), Z-transform, DFT and FFT, windowing techniques, analog and digital filter design, IIR, FIR filter Design, finite word length effect.

4. Bio-Medical Signal Processing: Digital filters, IIR filters – Smoothing, notch, Derivatives, Sampling, Integer Filters, Data Reduction techniques, Signal averaging, Frequency domain techniques- Fourier transform, Correlation, Convolution power spectrum estimation, ECG QRS detection,- power spectrum of ECG, BP filtering techniques, Different template matching, QRS detection algorithm.

5.  Image Processing: Sampling, Quantization, some  basic transformations, Properties of 2D    Fourier  transform, FFT, separable Image transforms, enhancement in frequency domain, Color Image processing, Masking from frequency domain specification:- errors free Compression, Lossy Compression, Image Compression standards, edge linking & boundary detection, Thresholding, Region oriented segmentation.

Logic Design and Computer Organization : Logic functions, Minimization, Design and synthesis of Combinational and Sequential circuits; Number representation and Computer Arithmetic (fixed and floating point); Machine instructions and addressing modes, ALU and Data-path, hardwired and micro-programmed control, memory interface, I/O interface (Interrupt and DMA mode), Serial communication interface, Instruction pipelining, Cache main and secondary storage.

Formal Languages and Automata Theory : Regular languages and finite automata, Context free languages and Push-down automata, Recursively enumerable sets and Turing machines, Un-decidability;

History of Architecture; Indian – Indus vally, Vedic, Buddhist, Indo Aryan, Dravidian and mughal periods; European – Egyptian, Greek, Rioman, Medieval, and renaissance periods.

Devepolment of Contemporary Architecture: Development and impact on society since industrial revolution, influence of modern art on architecture, works national and international architects, post – modernism in architecture.

Planning Theory: Planning process, comprehensive planning, land use and density in residential and non-residential area, central place theory, rank – size rule, settlement pattern, land utilization, and district level planning.

Techiques of planning: Application of remote sensing techniques in  urban and regional planning surveys, methods of preparation of urban and regional development plans, structure plans, strategy plans etc; and site planning principles and design.

1. Process Calculations: Units and Standards, material and energy balance, humidity and saturation and combustion.

2. Fluid Mechanics: Fluid statics, incompressible flow through conduits, flow meters, flow past immersed bodies, transportation of fluids.

3. Mechanical Operations: Size analysis, reduction and separation, filteration, agitation and material handling.

4. Thermodynamics: First and Second law of thermodynamics, PVT relations, thermodynamic relations, phase equilibria and reaction equilibria

5. Heat Transfer: Conduction, convection, heat exchangers, steady and unsteady state heat transfer and radiation.

6. Mass Transfer: Diffusion, convective mass transfer, gas liquid contactors, distillation, absorption, adsorption, leaching, drying, evaporation, crystallization.

7. Reaction Kinetics: Theories of reaction rates; kinetics of homogeneous reactions, interpretation of kinetic data, single and multiple reactions in ideal reactors, non-ideal reactors; residence time; non-isothermal reactors; kinetics of heterogeneous catalytic reactions; diffusion effects in catalysis.

8. Process Control: Measurement of process variables; sensors, transducers and their dynamics, dynamics of simple systems, dynamics such as CSTRs, transfer functions and responses of simple systems, process reaction curve, controller modes (P, PI, and PID); control valves; analysis of closed loop systems including stability, frequency response (including Bode plots) and controller tuning, cascade, feed forward control.

9. Pollution Control Engineering: Waste Water Treatment, Air pollution treatment, Solid Waste Treatment, Noise Control.

10. Process Industries: Water, Industrial Gases: Co2, H2, O2, N2, Water Gas, and shift Gas, Sulfur: SO2, SO3, Acids: Surfuic, Hydrochloric and Phosporic Acids. Fertilizers: Ammonia, Urea, Ammonium Chloride, Ammonium Nittrate, Ammonium Phosphate, Ammonium Sulfate, DAP, Concept of Sustained and Solubilised Fertilizer and Formulation, Potash Fertilizers, Bio-Fertilizers. Coal tar distillation and Chemicals from coal. Oils, Fats, and Waxes, Soaps and Pulp and Paper, Sugar and Starch Industries, Fermatation Industried, Peroleum Industries – Constituts of crude petroleum, refining and processing, polymers and Rubber.

4.   Fluid Mechanics:
