B.Tech admissions 2011-15

NIIT University seeks meritorious students who are ambitious and driven by a spirit of inquiry for the third batch of its four-year B.Tech program

Commencing from August 2011

B.Tech programs: Computer science and engineering (CSE); Information and communication technology (ICT); electronics and communication engineering (ECE); Biotechnology (BT)

Eligibility and selection: Minimum 60% marks in class 10th and 10+2 with PCM (for CSE, ICT, ECE) and PCB/PCM/PCMB (for BT) from any recognized board in India or its equivalent from any other country

For CSE, ICT and ECE on the basis of JEE/AIEEE/SAT 2011 scores

For BT on the basis of NIIT university online examination scores

Interview conducted by NIIT university

Application process: Applicants can apply online at www.niituniversity.in/b.tech or on the prescribed application form downloadable from the site or available at NIIT university admissions office

Applications must be accompanied by a payment of Rs 1350/- made by a cheque/demand draft in favour of NIIT University payable at New Delhi or by credit card for online applications

Important dates

For the first admission cycle, the last date of receiving the completed application form is 20th June, 2011

Selection process commences from 24th June, 2011

Scholarships: The top 15% of the enrolled students, based on the criteria of academic merit/outstanding achievement in co-curricular activities, would be offered scholarships of an amount equivalent to full or part of university fee

Placements: NIIT University will use its industry connect to find suitable placements
