Applications are invited for admission in full-time M.Tech programmes in the following specializations for the academic year 2010-11

Thermal Engineering

Number of seats: 15 + 3 (sponsored candidates)

Eligibility criteria: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering

Computer Science and Engineering

Number of seats: 15 + 3 (sponsored candidates)

Eligibility criteria: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering/IT/MCA

Selection criteria: For GATE qualified candidates-on the basis of valid GATE score

For non-GATE qualified candidates-On the basis of percentage of marks in qualifying degree, in case of unavailability of GATE qualified candidates

Sponsored candidates-Sponsored candidates from technical institutions/R&D laboratories and industry would be preferred. In case of unavailability, the seats may be filled through GATE or non-GATE candidates

GATE scholarship will be provided to the candidates having valid GATE score as per MHRD norms

Teaching assistantship may also be provided to deserving non-GATE candidates

The filled application form along with relevant enclosures may be sent by post/speed-post to Principal, Bipin Chandra Tripathi Kumaon Engineering College, Dwarahat-263653 (Almora), Uttarakhand so as to reach on or before 24th September, 2010

List of short listed candidates will be displayed on the college notice board and website on 25th September, 2010

The short listed candidates are required to be present before the admission committee for the counseling on 30th September, 2010, at 10.00 a.m.

Candidates should bring all original certificates/mark sheets starting from high school onwards and one set of attested photocopies of the same; valid GATE score-card in original (if applicable); non refundable counseling/processing fee of Rs 1000/- (Rs one thousand only) in cash or by demand draft

Selected candidates would be required to deposit first year college fee amounting Rs 49,200/- (Rs forty nine thousand two hundred only) in form of cash/demand draft on the same day i.e. 30th September, 2010

The demand draft should be drawn in favour of the Principal, BCTKEC Dwarahat payable at SBI-KEC Dwarahat (branch code 10584)
