Admission under NRI/Foreign nationals/PIO quota in B.Tech course for the session 2010-11

NRI Quota: Applications are invited for admissions in NRI quota in all B.Tech programmes of JSSATE (N) fixed as per AICTE norms from the NRI, their son/daughter and real brother/sister. The children of real brother/sister and son/daughter of NRI who have obtained minimum 60% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) subjects in Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination, may also be considered for admission in JSSATE(N), if the seats remain vacant after the admission of NRI, their son/daughter and real brother/sister

Foreign Nationals/PIO quota: Applications are invited for admission from students of Foreign Nationals/ People of Indian origin (PIO) settled abroad or children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries who have passed 10+2 qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology or equivalent exam approved by association of Indian universities (AIU) or valid SAT-II score with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry

PIO quota is available only in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology and Electrical Engineering

How to apply: Eligible candidate may submit their application on prescribed format for admission against NRI quota or Foreign nationals/PIO quota to the Registrar, JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida along with demand draft of Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of JSSATE Noida payable at New Delhi

Last date of receipt of application is 24th June, 2010

Counseling: Admission will be made through a process of counseling (on the basis of relative merit) amongst the applicants, which will be held on 29th June, 2010 at JSSATE-Noida campus

At the time of counseling the candidate has to deposit original documents and one set of photocopies of following documents

For NRI candidates: Mark sheet of 10+2 or equivalent examination; 10th certificate (high school) for proof of age; original NRI status certificate obtained from Indian diplomatic mission/chancellery/ high commission under their seal to the effect that the candidates or the person sponsoring him/her is non-resident Indian in that country presently (sample format may be seen at www.jssaten.ac.in); original document/certificate clearly indicating that the candidate is real brother/real sister/real son/real daughter or child of real son/daughter or child of real brother/sister of the NRI; a letter from NRI certifying that he/she is sponsoring the candidate and is ready to bear educational expenses of the candidate for the entire duration of the program
