Veerappa Moily gets 21st Moortidevi Award

Union law minister and writer Veerappa Moily has been declared the winner of the prestigious Moortidevi Award, considered the most prestigious literary award in the country after the Bharatiya Jnanpith, for his work ‘Shri Ramayan Mahaniveshanam’.   T N Chaturvedi was the chairman of the award selection board. Moily got the 21st Moortidevi Award.

Krishna Bihari Mishra gets 20th Moortidevi Award

The 20th award has been bestowed upon Krishna Bihari Mishra for ‘Kalpataru ke Utsav Leela’.

The selection committee comprised former Sahitya Akademi secretary K Satchidanandan, Jnanpith awardee Sanskrit scholar Satyavarat Shastri, former Moortidevi Award winning Oriya writer Pratibha Ray, linguist Vrishabha Prasad Jain, Sahu Akhilesh Jain and Ravindra Kalia.
