'Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test 2005'

Agra varsity to hold Combined PMT for UP

LUCKNOW : The  Combined Pre-Medical Test (CPMT-2005) for Uttar Pradesh will be conducted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra on Friday, May 27, 2005.

The test will be held at various centres in UP and Uttaranchal to admit students for MBBS/ BDS, BHMS, BAMS and BUMS courses in various government and private medical/ Dental/ Homeopathic/ Aurvedic/ Unani colleges in UP.

The application form along with the Information Brochure are available from designated branches of Allahabad Bank for Rs.610 (Rs 300 for SC/ST ).

The sale of forms, which began on March 10, will continue till April 23 while the deadline to submit the filled in forms at the bank counters is April 23. The results of the test will be announced on June 14, according to Dr A S Kukla, Chairman CPMT and Vice-Chancellor of Dr B R Ambedkar University, Agra.

The test will be held on April 27 from 10 am to 12 noon (Chemistry and Physics) and from 2 pm to 4 pm (Zoology and Botany) at the following cities : Agra, Allahabad, Aligarh, Bareilly, Faizabad, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Noida, Sharanpur, Varanasi, Dehradun, Delhi or any other centre prescribed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra.

Those who wish to apply for the CPMT must be a resident of UP or Uttranchal (for those seeking admission to the seats reserved for Uttranchal candidates) and should not have been born not later than December 31, 1988. The candidate should have passed the Intermediate Board or an equivalent examination with 50 per cent average marks in Science subjects (40%  for OBC/SC/ST).

(i) For admission to BAMS course the candidate passing Madhyama examination of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi are also eligible. (ii) For admission to BUMS the candidate must have passed examination in Urdu at High School or an equivalent level. Those appearing in the qualifying examination can also sit for the exam.

 The result of the CPMT will be declared on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 in all leading Hindi and English newspapers and on the university website www.dbrau.com .
