The following scholarships are awarded every alternate year:

The fellowships will be awarded for a period of two years at the rate of Rs. 4,000 per month. In addition, an amount of Rs. 18,000 per annum will be paid for meeting the contingent expenditure. Only Indian citizens engaged in Wildlife Management/Research are eligible. Preference would be given to the officials of the State/UT Forest & Wildlife Departments.
The nominations forwarded by the following authorities alone will be considered.
The nominations complete in all respects should be sent in the prescribed proforma by registered post along with 10 copies of biodata and proposed research project (500 words) and one set reprints or other documentary evidence of achievements. These documents may be sent in a sealed cover marked “Confidential” and addressed to The Director, Wildlife Preservation, Ministry of Environment & Forests, Paravaran Bhavan, CGO Complex, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110003, within 30 days of publication of the advertisement. The name of the Fellowship should be mentioned boldly on the face of the envelope.
Format for nomination is normally published along with the advertisement.
Notifications are published in October.
