Raunaq Education Foundation: Raunaq education foundation was setup in 1971 in order to nurture talent and transform young students into citizens committed to the spirit of inquiry, innovation and creativity

On its 40th anniversary, Raunaq education foundation announces Raunaq Bright star scholarship, enabling 100 meritorious students to win scholarships to study in the renowned residential school-Apollo International school located near New Delhi

The scholarship is offered for classes 8, 9 and 11 and covers tuition and boarding fees for 2 years

Out of the 100 scholarships, the top 10 scholars will receive a full scholarship, each valued at 2.5 lakhs annually

Eligibility criteria: Students attending CBSE/IGCSE schools, require a minimum of A2/A in English, Maths, Science/Social studies

 

ICSE and state boards require an 85% in the same subjects as mentioned above

For class 11, the pre-board/SA1 marks will suffice for the current year in the above subjects

Date of written test: The scholarship test is scheduled for 03rd April, 2011

Venue of written test: The test will be conducted at following locations viz Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, Ludhiana, Itanagar, Guwahati, AIS campus Sonepat

Some more centers might be added in due course. The allocation of the centers will be communicated to the short-listed candidates via e-mail

Written test details: The 2 hour written test is divided into 3 main sections, namely English, Mathematics and General Ability

The test will be in sync with NCERT curriculum of 7th, 8th and 10th standards respectively. The test is an attempt to gauge the understanding of the students and their proficiency in the subjects

How to apply: The last day of submission of online form is 27th March, 2011 till 11.59 p.m.

The short-listed candidates will be intimated via e-mail

The admit cards will be sent on e-mail address mentioned to the short-listed candidates

The short listed candidates need to print a copy of the filled-up form and bring it along with attested copies of report cards (previous and current year) and two passport sized colored photographs on the day of examination along with the admit card

The students are advised to carry the admit card along with necessary documents mentioned above. Those who fail to produce any of them will not be permitted to take the test
