Students admitted to the programme receive a fellowship that covers all costs and living expenses. IIMA has excellent facilities in computing, library and faculty resources.
Postgraduates from any discipline including CA, ICWA, CS and management (55% marks) and B.E/B.Tech graduates (60% marks) are eligible to apply to any of the areas. Those expecting to graduate an also apply.
Highly attractive INFOSYS Fellowships are also available for outstanding candidates planning to do thesis work in any area of specialization, with a research topic relating to Information Technology.
Graudates of the Fellow Programme go through in and off campus placement. They have been recruited by highly reputed teaching institutions, international consulting firms, world class corporates, governments and multilateral agencies.
Applicants could opt for a maximum of three of the following areas of specialization:
Selection: Applicants for the FPM are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT). This is an admission test common to all IIMs and certain other elite management schools for their postgraduate, MBA and doctoral programmes. CAT is usually held in December in important cities all around the country. CAT bulletin is available at a large number of branches of the SBI between 8 th August and 25 th September. The CAT announcement appears in all important newspapers normally in the month of August. On the basis of their performance in CAT, academic background and experience, applicants are called for an interview for final selection at Ahmedabad during the month of April.
The following category of students need not take the CAT.
How to Apply: For obtaining the application form/forms write to the programmes Office, FPM Office, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad-380015 with a bank draft of Rs. 100 (Rupees One Hundred Only) drawn on “Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad” payable at Ahmedabad. Please also enclose a “sell-addressed sticker/strip. “You will receive a set of thee forms between dates of October and November, allowing you to apply for any three areas of your choice. There is no other fee for application.
Completed applications should reach the FPM office by a date of December.
Notifications for the programme are normally advertised in the month of August.
