AWARD OF EMERITUS FELLOWSHIPS

 

 

 

 

 

The Department of Culture, Ministry of Human Resource Development administers a Scheme for Award of Emeritus Fellowships to eminent artistes in the field of Performing, Literary and Visual Arts. Applicants under this scheme should have achieved a high degree of excellence in their respective fields and won recognition both at the national or international spheres. The value of the Fellowship is Rs. 7,500 per month and is tenable for a period of two years.

The applicants should be 60 years of age and above and must be physically fit and mentally alert.

 

For the year in question, the State/UT Government/Central Academies/Eminent artistes/Art Institutes, etc., may suggests names of suitable candidates, enclosing a brief note of the person and his achievements. The biodata should clearly mention his date of birth and postal address. These recommendations should be sent to:

Notifications for the programme are published in April.
