 MEXICAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

 

 

Applications are invited from Indian nationals on plain paper, in the format, for the award of Mexican Government Scholarships to undertake studies at a Mexican university or any institution of higher education in Mexico. Number of scholarship are four of six months to one year duration and would be available for studies in the subject fields of:

• Economics
• History
• Asia and Africa
• Demography/Social Sciences with specially in Population Studies
• Linguistics
• Spanish Literature.

The eligibility conditions are as under:

• Age: Below 45 years as on a date of May.
• Levels of Study: Postgraduate and above level.
• Qualification: Should have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 55% marks in relevant subjects for postgraduate studies. Should have postgraduate degree for Ph.D and Ph.D for post-doctoral studies in relevant subject.
• Amount of Scholarship: Registry and scholar fees, Monthly allowance for economic support equivalent to (a) 4 Mexico city (DF) minimum wages corresponding to the Mexico city area for scholarships at masters level. Nowadays the amount is of 4,548.00 pesos and (b) 5 Mexico city (DF) minimum wages corresponding to he Mexico city area in case of Ph.D or research at doctoral level. The amount nowadays 5,685.00 pesos.
• Passage Cost: Air fare at the beginning and at the end of the scholarship, to be paid by the Government of Mexico.

Application on plain paper (in prescribed format) along with photocopies of educational certificates (including proof of age) and other documents, with a copy of recent passport size photograph pasted on the application, should reach The Section Officer, ES.3 Section, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education, A.1/W.3, Curzon Road Barracks, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi-110001 latest by a date in the month of May. Application received after that date will not be entertained.
