HSCST Fellowship Programme-2011-12
Opportunity for candidates who opted for CSIR-URF and were successful in clearing CSIR-UGC test for JRF and LS (NET) held on 20th June, 2010
In order to attract talented and meritorious students, HSCST is offering research fellowships in Science subjects, namely, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematics Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences
The fellowships will involve full time research work leading to Ph.D degree in the relevant subject areas from any of the Institute/University in Haryana
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CSIR candidates who have opted for CSIR-JRF and have at least qualified CSIR-LS NET will be selected on the basis of their performance in NET for carrying out their Ph.D work in any of the university/institute in Haryana

Eligibility: M.Sc or equivalent degree in any of the subjects in above broad subject areas, with minimum 55% marks and should have opted for CSIR JRF (NET) and were able to qualify eligibility test for Lectureship-NET in joint CSIR-UGC test for JRF and LS (NET) held on 20th June, 2010
Candidates availing fellowship/financial assistance from any other source will not be eligible
Age limit: The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years as on 01st January, 2010, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/women/PwD/OBC applicants
Stipend and tenure: Rs 12,000/- p.m. for a period of first 2 years as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Rs 14,000/- p.m. as senior research fellow (SRF) for the 3rd and subsequent year subject to terms and conditions along with annual contingent grant of Rs 20,000/- to the University/Institution
Tenure of the fellowship will be 3 years extendable to 4th and 5th years as per terms and conditions of the programme
The total tenure as JRF plus SRF will not exceed five years
