Applications are invited for the above Research Fellowship from candidates with M.Sc in Geology having at least 60% marks and have passed RET (BHU)/NET/GATE examination. The research student will have to work for Ph.D degree for a maximum period of four continuous years and has to undergo evaluation of work progress after 2 years. The research fellow will have to work on the subject entitled “Petrographic Characterisation and Evolution of the Eocene Lignite Deposits of Kachchh, Gujarat .” The fellowship carries an amount of Rs. 2800 per month with Rs. 10,000 per annum for contingent expenses.

The application stating full details, including date of birth, academic qualifications (year wise), present deployment and a certificate from the University Professor/Head of the Department regarding capability for original research along with supporting documents (as Xerox copies) should reach, within a month of the publication, to the Head, Department of Geology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005.
