Applications are invited, on plain paper, in the prescribed format from Indian nationals residing in India for the award of Two (2) Scholarships offered by the Government of Czech of Ph.D Study Programme in Czech Republic latest by a date of February, in the subject fields (i) Mining and Geology, (ii) Nuclear Engineering, (iii) Environmental Sciences, (iv) Forestry, (v) Agriculture, (Vi) Tropical and Sub-tropical Agriculture.
There is no tuition and medical care is free of charge for scholarship holders. Board and accommodation and reduced fares for public transport, if available, are paid by the students under the same conditions as for the Czech students.
Note: For studies extended beyond regular length of study plus one year, students are expected to pay the special fee charged by the University. The standard length of study at Ph.D level is three years.
Duration: As per rules of Czech Universities.

Notes: The following documents must be attached with the application (a) Attested copy of the Certificate certifying the date of birth, (b) Attested copies of mark-sheet of qualifying examinations, (c) Attested copies of all degrees/diplomas/certificates, etc. (d) A clear and precise programme of study research and questions proposed to be undertaken in donor country, (e) A recent passport size photograph of candidate to be affixed on the prescribed application form. (1) Application in the subject field other than those specified above will not be considered. (2) Candidates who have been already abroad for study/specialization/training for a period exceeding six months either on scholarship or on their own are eligible to apply only if they have been in India for at least two consecutive years after their return from abroad as on a date of February. (3) Application of candidates who are at present residing abroad will not considered. (4) Candidates should have sufficiently good knowledge of India and the donor country. (5) Applications which do not contain any of the required documents will be treated as incomplete and will not be considered. (6) No correspondence will be entertained with candidates if not selected for interview/scholarship. (7) Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. (8) Candidates must send their applications duly sponsored by their employers along with two letters of recommendation by University Professors. (9) Applications received after the prescribed last date will not be entertained. (10) The decision of the Selection Committee with regard to selection of the candidate will be final. (11) Candidates must satisfy themselves about the adequacy of the scholarship award (Value, etc.) before applying. Once an application is received it will be presumed that the candidate is satisfied with the award indicated and no queries/representations will be entertained thereafter.
Candidates should apply for the above scholarship on plain paper (preferably typed) furnishing the full details/particulars to the Section Officer, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Secondary Education & Higher Education, External Scholarship Division, (ES. 1 Section), A.1/W.3 Curzon Road Barracks, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi-110001 latest by a date of February.
The format of application and declaration are published along with the advertisement.
Notifications are published in January/February.
