Eligibility Criteria for RIMS Imphal PG Medical Admission 2020
a) |
Sponsored Category |
(i) |
Candidate must be an Indian national holding MBBS degree or equivalent from a Medical College/Institute recognized approved by Medical Council of India and has obtained permanent registration from MCI or any State Medical Council |
(ii) |
In the nomination letter, any directive /option of subject preference mentioned against the names of candidates will not be entertained as the allotment of seats will be strictly done in order of merit of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG). |
(iii) |
Candidates working in the State Health Services on a regular basis only will be considered. |

Open Category |
(i) |
RIMS Graduates from NE Region |
a) |
Candidate must be an Indian national holding MBBS degree from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal and must have obtained permanent registration from MCI or any State Medical Council. |
b) |
A candidate who is completing a 12 months compulsory rotatory internship on or before 31.3.2020 and submits a relevant certificate from the concerned Head of the Institute, can appear in the Counselling for admission to MD/ MS/ Diploma Courses. |
(ii) |
RIMS-AIQ Graduates |
a) |
Candidate must be an Indian national admitted in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal under All India Quota (AIQ) holding MBBS degree. |
b) |
Any candidate, who is completing 12 months compulsory rotatory internship on or before 31.3.2020 and submits a relevant certificate from the concerned Head of the Institute, can appear in the counselling for admission to MD/MS/Diploma Courses. |
(iii) |
Non-RIMS NE-Graduates |
a) |
Must be an Indian national from North-Eastern Region of India except Assam holding MBBS degree from any MCI recognized Medical Institution except RIMS, Imphal and has obtained permanent registration from MCI or any State Medical Council. |
b) |
Any candidate, who is completing 12 months compulsory rotatory internship on or before 31.3.2020 and submits a relevant certificate from the concerned Head of the Institute, can appear in the counselling for admission to MD/MS/Diploma Courses. |
Selection Procedure for RIMS Imphal PG Medical Admission 2020
| Selection of candidates based on NEET-PG-2020 Score | |
| a) | AIQ seats are to be filled up at All India Level as per norm adopted by DGHS (ME), Govt. of India from All India Merit List of NEET-PG -2020. |
| b) | Beneficiary States seats (both Sponsored and Open categories) will be allotted to eligible candidates through physical counselling to be held at RIMS, Imphal from the State-wise merit list of NEET-PG-2020. |
| c) | Non-RIMS Medical graduates shall be selected on the basis of merit list in NEET-PG-2020. |
RIMS Imphal PG Medical Admission 2020 Application Process
i. |
Duly filled in application forms in prescribed format (Given in link below) should be submitted to the Director, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur within the stipulated time. For sponsored (government employed) candidates, the applications should be forwarded by the competent authority (if employed) of the beneficiary states. |
ii. |
A Demand Draft of drawn in favour of the Director, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal payable at Imphal should be deposited along with the application form. |
