It is hereby notified for the Information to all concerned that the Examination of U.P. C.P.M.T.-2008 for Admission to the 1st year of MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS and BUMS courses in various Government and recognized/ approved Medical/ Dental/ Homeopathic/Ayurvedic/Unani Colleges of Uttar Pradesh will be conducted on 14th May 2008.

CPMT 2008 Eligibility

The candidate must be:

(a) Citizen of India, Domicile of Uttar Pradesh, not born later than December 31, 1991 (Date inclusive), intermediate of the State Board in Science Group (Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany) with English as one of subjects/ (10+2) or other equivalent examination of some other recognized Board/University in U.P. with 50% average marks in the Science subjects (for General category candidates) and 40% for OBC/SC/ST candidates.

(b) For BAMS Course Madhyama Examination Passed Students of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi are eligible.

(d) For MBBS/BDS Course, the eligibility conditions will be as specified by the Medical Council of lndia.

(e) The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in the year 2008 are also eligible, subject to the showing of evidence of passing the examination at the time of Counseling, if selected.

HOW TO APPLY

1 Designated counters of POST OFFICE will supply the INFORMATION BROCHURE - ( Head Post Offices of all Districts of Uttar Pradesh and at two Districts of Uttarakhand State i.e. Dehradun and Nainital. These are also available at additional branches of Post Offices of districts Agra (Sanjay Palace). Aligarh (AMU). Allahabad (Kutcheri & High Court), Bareilly (Cantt), Gorakhpur (University), Jhansi (University), Kanpur (Cantt., University and Nawabganj), Lucknow (GPO, Gomti Nagar, Chowk & Nirala Nagar), Meerut (Cantt.). Varanasi (Cantt ) and New Delhi (GPO and Kalkaji HQ.).

Cost of UP CPMT 2008 Information Brochurw:
• Rs. 600.00 + Rs. 15.00 (Postal Charges) and Rs. 50.00 (On-line counseling charges) for General & OBC candidates.
• Rs. 300.00 + Rs. 15.00 (Postal Charges) and Rs. 50.00 (on-line counselling charges) for SC / ST Candidates.

2 The brochure includes an application form which is in the form of an OMR sheet.

3 The Brochure should be thoroughly studied.

4 The Application From is to be filled up on the basis of information contained in the Brochure.

5 The OMR sheet is to be filled up with utmost care. There should not be any overwriting or cutting. OMR sheet should not be stapled but will be single folded from the middle as indicated.

6 The duly filled up OMR Application Form is to be submitted by Registered/ Speed post to CHAIRMAN, C.P.M.T.2008 University of Lucknow - 226007 .

7 Write your OMR Serial Number on the envelope along with your address.

8 Please insert the OMR application form in the envelope by single folding in the middle as indicated.

9 The application form after scrutiny shall be processed and you will receive your Admit Card along with your Roll Number, which will allow you to appear in the Entrance Test.

10 Appropriate information regarding center shall be mentioned on the admit card.

Agra, Aligarh, Allahabad, Azamgarh, Barailly, Faizabad, Ghaziabad, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Noida,Saharanpur and Varanasi or any other centre prescribed by University of Lucknow.
