The General category candidate must have secured at least average 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST OBC candidate) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination and should obtain minimum 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in CPMT-2007.

1. For admission to BAMS course the candidates passing Madhyama (with Science as subject) examination of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi are also eligible.

2. For admission to BUMS the candidate must have passed examination in Urdu at High School or equivalent level.

3. For admission to MBBS/BDS courses, the eligibility conditions will be as specified by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.

 

2. Reservation:-

The vertical & Horizontal reservation, as indicated below, shall be applicable on all the seats filled through CAMT-2007 in each Medical college for each subject/programme

Vertical Reservation

11-Candidates belonging to scheduled castes

12-Candidates belonging to scheduled tribes

13- Candidates belonging to other backward classes (OBC)

Horizontal Reservation

11-Dependent of freedom fighter

12-Son/Daughter Ex-serviceman (Handicapped in war/retired/martyrs)

13-Handicapped candidates

14-Women candidates

 

3. Application Forms/Brochure:-

The application forms along with the information brochure are available from the Head Post Office and Mukhya Dakghar (MDGs) of Uttar Pradesh. The cost of the Form for General and OBC candidates is Rs.665/- (including Rs. 15/-Post Office Charges & Rs. 50 online couselling charge) and for SC/ST candidates the cost of the form is Rs. 365 (including Rs. 15/-Post Office Charges & Rs. 50 online couselling charge).

The duly filled up forms which are in the form of OMR sheets are to be sent preferably through the same branch of the post offices by Speed Post (if the facility is available) or otherwise by Registered Post only)

 

4. Examination:-

CPMT-2007 examination will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 in two shifts as follows:-

10.00 A.M. –12 Noon Zoology and Botany

02.00 P.M. – 4.00 P.M. Chemistry and Physics

5. Examination Centers:-

CPMT-2007 examination will be organized at the following cities: Agra, Allahbad, Aligarh, Bareilly, Faizabad, Ghazibad, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Muzaffaranagar, Nodia, Saharanpur, Varanasi or any other centre prescribed by Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur (U.P)

 

6. Results:-

The result of the CPMT-2007 examination will be declared on or before 14 June, 2007 in the leading Hindi, English newspapers. The result will also be available on University Website www.vbspu.ac.in
