The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination. The last two years of study comprising Physics,
Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject, must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

In addition, in the competitive entrance test, the candidate must have secured not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination be 40% instead of 50%

Age: The candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission

Change of category status like SC/ST/OBC will not be entertained mid-way during the various stages of SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011. Hence, the applicants are cautioned to declare their status while filling the application

For admission to MBBS course eligibility will be followed strictly on par with the regulations of medical council of India

Scholarships: The academy awards 20 scholarships for under graduate students (MBBS) every year. The value of each scholarship is Rs 25,000/- per annum

10 scholarships are for students under general merit category (GM) and are named after Late Sri Ramakrishna Hegde Former Chief Minster of Karnataka

10 scholarships are for students under OBC category and are named after Late Sri Devaraj URS, former Chief Minster of Karnataka

These scholarships are awarded as per the recommendation and approval of committee constituted for the purpose

SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011: Sri Devaraj URS Academy of Higher Education and Research will conduct an entrance test SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011, for candidates seeking admission to MBBS course in medical studies and this admission would be granted based on the inter-se merit determined under the said test

The SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011 test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year 2011-12

The SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011 will be conducted at centers in Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai on Saturday, the 07th May, 2011, 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon

The test venue will be mentioned in the candidate’s test admission ticket and also on the website under every candidate’s individual login

Please recheck the website for any changes/updates before leaving your home town for the test/counseling

Application procedure: The online application form has to be filled up properly and completely

Take printouts of the filled in application form and date of birth certificate/identity proof for candidate’s copy as well as SDUAHER copy

The application form is said to be complete only if it is enclosed with all the documents mentioned in the checklist. The application can be submitted in person (for which acknowledgement has to be obtained) or by post

The duly filled application with all documents and complete all respect should reach the registrar on or before 15th April, 2011 5.00 p.m.

Multiple application forms filled and received from the same candidate causing confusion will be treated as intentional and would result in disqualification

Ensure that the demand draft for Rs 1000/- (Rs one thousand only) drawn in favour of the Registrar, Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Kolar (payable at Kolar) is enclosed

Send the application in A4 size envelopes only; do not fold the application form; super scribe the envelope at the top SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011 application form

Checklist of documents to accompany the completed application form; demand draft for Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of the Registrar, SDUAHER, Kolar payable at Kolar (mention your application number on the reverse side of the demand draft), check for the banker’s signature on the demand draft; SDUAHER copy of date of birth certificate/identity proof in the prescribed form duly attested by the head of the institution where he/she has studied last or gazetted officer from the place of residence of the candidate; attested copy of SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by competent authority not less than rank of Tahsildhar; additional photograph (mention your application number on the back of the photograph)

The duly filled in application form should reach the Registrar, Sri Devaraj URS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Tamaka, Kolar-563101, either in person/post/courier, on or before 15th April, 2011, 5.00 p.m.

Applicants are directed to go through the instructions carefully before filling the application forms. Applicants are advised to send the filled in application forms well in advance with in the given time and date as per the calendar of events. Grievances if any on non receipt of application will not be entertained, if it is beyond the control of the academy

Test admission tickets (TAT): Candidates appearing for SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011 are issued a test admission ticket (TAT) for identification. Candidates are required to bring the TAT and the candidate’s copy of date of birth certificate/identity proof duly attested by the head of the institution where he/she has last studied or gazetted officer from the place of residence of the candidate, which should be similar to the copy submitted to the academy along with the application form for admission to the examination hall. This is mandatory

The test admission ticket gives the details of the test centre assigned to the candidate. The candidate is assigned a test centre during the processing of his/her application and no request for change in the test centre will be considered

The test admission ticket would be dispatched to the candidate by speed post at the address mentioned in his/her application form. All test admission tickets will be dispatched by 23rd April, 2011 and candidates who do not receive the test admission tickets on or before 01st May, 2011 must contact helpdesk at Tel 08152-649209, 08152-210604, 210605 Extn 315 or at email helpdesk2010@sduu.ac.in to have the details on the status of the test admission ticket dispatch. Change of address, if any, during the process of SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011 must be intimated through post/courier/email/Fax to SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011 office. However, the responsibility for the same rests solely with the applicant

Test scheme: SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011 will have the following pattern

Combined paper for Physics, Chemistry and Biology compulsory for all the candidates appearing for SDUAHER-AIUGMET-2011

A single test combining Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects will be held on 07th May, 2011 in the forenoon session (9.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon)

There will be a total of 180 questions; 60 questions in Physics, 60 questions in Chemistry and 60 questions in Biology. The test duration for combined paper is 180 minutes, and is compulsory for all candidates seeking admissions to MBBS course

There is no negative marking
