The Post Graduate Entrance Test 2012 is being conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility for admission of students to PG Degree and Diploma courses in Medical subjects and PG Degree courses in Dental subjects in Government colleges and Government seats in Private Medical and Dental Colleges and Deemed University within the State of Karnataka, in respect of Government seats for the academic year 2012-12.

The seats available in the different colleges in the State of Karnataka have been divided into State Government seats and Management seats.
