Entrance examination for admission to medical post graduate courses (MD/MS/Diploma) and Dental Postgraduate courses (MDS)
As per guidelines issued by the medical council of India, New Delhi and dental council of India, New Delhi, the date of entrance examination for admission to medical and dental post graduate courses for the state of Maharashtra i.e. MD/MS/Diploma/MDS courses will be as follows

As per guidelines issued by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi and Dental Council of India, New Delhi, the date of entrance examination for admission to Medical and Dental Postgraduate courses i.e. MD/MS/Diploma/MDS courses for the state of Maharashtra will be as follows

Entrance examination for admission to medical postgraduate courses (MD/MS/Diploma)
Entrance examination (PGM-CET 2010) for medical postgraduate courses (MD/MS/diploma) will be held on Sunday, 29th January, 2012 from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
The cost of application form along with the Information Brochure of PGM-CET 2012/ PGDCET- 2012 and Examination fee is Rs. 1800/- to be payable by Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn on any Nationalised or Scheduled commercial Bank in favor of "Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai" payable at Mumbai. The Brochure and Application Form will be available at the following notified centers from 16/12/2011 to 02/01/2012 (Excluding Sundays and State Government Holidays). Aspiring candidates should go through the eligibility criteria as per the PGM-CET-2012/PGD-CET-2012 brochure, which is available on website www.dmer.org before purchasing the application form.

Eligibility criteria:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PGM-CET-2012 FOR MEDICAL POSTGRADUATE
COURSES:
7.1 Candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or valid passport or School Laving Certificate of HSC/12th Std.indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the
proof of nationality. [Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Non Resident
Indians (NRI)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible].
7.2.1 All candidates, who have passed final M.B.B.S. examination and
completed/completing one year internship training by 31st March, 2012
from a recognized medical college (Annexure F) included in the Schedule of
the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and situated in Maharashtra are
eligible. The Medical College should have been affiliated to Non-Agricultural
Universities established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or the
Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998 or Medical College
affiliated to Deemed university as per University Grant commission Act of
1956 under section 13/A, situated in Maharashtra. The candidate should
have obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India or
Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) will be eligible to appear for PGM-CET
2012.
7.2.2 Eligibility for In-service candidates will be as per criteria laid down by thePublic Health Department for M.M.& H.S. Medical Officer candidates and bycommissioner of E.S.I.S. for E.S.I.S in-service candidates. For BMC In-Service Candidate eligibility criteria will be as per criteria let down by
Municipal Commissioner/Director of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
(iv) The candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who have obtained admission under 15% quota for All India Entrance Examination (AIEE) for MBBS courses and who have obtained the degree from a university situated outside the state of Maharahstra will also be eligible for PGM-CET 2012. (refer rule no. 7.7 of PGM-CET-2012 brochure)
(v) The candidate who have obtained MBBS degree from deemed university is not eligible to appear for PGM-CET 2012.
APPLICATION FORM AND FEES FOR EXAMINATION:
8.1 The Competent Authority shall issue prescribed application form along
with information Brochure containing procedures for admission to
postgraduate courses. An applicant seeking admission to the
PGM-CET - 2012 will be required to submit single prescribed
computerized scanable application form which is provided with
this brochure.
8.2 The information Brochure and Computerized Application Form will be
available for sale at all Notified centres (Annexure E) from 16/12/2011
to 02/01/2012 and should be submitted in person at any notified
center from 16/12/2011 to 02/01/2012, excluding Sundays and State
Government Holidays.
8.3 The cost of the Information Brochure along with Computerized
Application Form of PGM-CET 2012 and the examination fee is `1800/-
to be paid by a Demand Draft/Pay Order drawn on any
nationalized/scheduled commercial bank in favour of the “Director,
Medical Education & Research, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai. This
amount is not refundable.
8.4 PGM-CET-2012 will be conducted at Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and
Nagpur centres. Candidate can choose the centre for examination as
per his choice and indicate the same in application form. Such choice
once exercised will be final and binding.
8.5 Original documents/certificates should not be attached with the
application form however these original certificates should be
shown at the time of submission of application form.
8.6 Candidates should submit Computerized Application form in person.
Form send/submitted by courier/post will be rejected.
8.7 In-service candidates should submit Computerized Scanable
Application form to the concerned Authorities (DHS, ESIS & BMC).
8.8 Candidate should preserve the (i) receipt-cum-identity card, (ii)
Information Brochure for subsequent use.
8.9 Application forms of the candidates (other than In-service candidates)
shall be received by the Notified Centres.

Entrance examination (PGD-CET 2012) for dental postgraduate course (MDS) will be held on Sunday, Sunday, 29th January, 2012 from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

Aspiring candidates should go through the eligibility criteria as per the PGD-CET-2012 brochure, before purchasing the application form.

Application forms duly filled can be submitted in person from 18.12.2009 to 02.01.2010 (excluding Sundays and state government holidays) at any of the above centres. The application form should not be sent by post/courier, such forms will be rejected without any intimation.
Eligibility criteria:
All candidates, who have passed final B.D.S. degree from a recognised
dental college (Annexure-E) included in the schedule of the Dental
Council of India and situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to the Nonagricultural
University established under Maharashtra Universities
Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act 1998
or Dental Colleges affiliated to Deemed University as per University
Grant Commission Act 1956 under section 13/A, situated in
Maharashtra, and who have obtained registration either from the
Dental Council of India or Maharashtra State Dental Council (MSDC)
after completing one year compulsory rotating internship will be
eligible to appear for PGD-CET. Candidate obtained BDS Degree before
introduction of one year compulsory rotating internship training, i.e.
on or before 1989 will also be eligible to appear for PGD-CET 2012.
6.3 A candidate should have obtained MSDC/DCI registration by the date of
preference form filling process. (Except for a candidate who will be
completing Internship by 31/03/2012, such a candidate must submit the
aforesaid certificate by the beginning of academic term (i.e. second May
2012) to the college authority)
6.4 A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or
is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March 2012 can appear for
PGD-CET.
6.5 The candidates who were admitted to the colleges/institutions which are now affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) will be eligible till such time as they are awarded the degrees by the University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994.
6.6 Candidate who has passed the Final BDS examination of non-agricultural universities in Maharashtra or MUHS, Nashik and Deemed University situated in the state of Maharashtra will be eligible to appear for PGD-CET.

available at all Government Dental Colleges and B.J Medical College, Pune
from 16/12/2011 to 02/01/2012 excluding Sundays and State
Government Holidays. The cost of the Information Brochure along with
Computerised Application Form of PGD-CET 2012 and Examination Fee is
`1800/- to be paid by Demand Draft/Pay Order drawn on any
Nationalized/scheduled commercial Bank in favour of the Director,
Medical Education and Research, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. This
amount is not refundable.
7.2 Application forms of the candidates shall be received at all the Government Dental Colleges and B.J Medical College, Pune. The applications will be scrutinised by them and shall be submitted with remarks to the Competent Authority. The Designated Authority will be responsible for
sale, receipt of application form, scrutiny and determining the eligibility.
7.3 Original documents/certificates should not be attached with the
application form however these original certificates should be shown
at the time of submission of application form.
7.4 Candidates should submit Computerized Application form in person.
Form send/submitted by courier/post will be rejected.
7.5 Admit Cards will be issued at the Designated Authority where the
candidate has submitted his/her application form during 20/01/2012 to
27/01/2012.
7.6 Issue of Admit Card is merely an enabling document for appearing at the
PGD-CET and does not imply that the candidate satisfies all the
requirements of eligibility conditions of admission.
7.7 In case of loss of Admit Card, it shall be obligatory on the part of candidate to procure duplicate Admit Card by paying fees of ` 500/- from the office of the concerned subcenter in charge not later than 1 hour before the commencement of examination, on production of Receipt-cum-Identity Card/sufficient evidence to prove that he/she is the genuine/bonafide examinee.
