Admission Notification – Postgraduate (MDS) Courses Postgraduate Dental Entrance Examination (PGDEE) – 2012

Applications in the prescribed form are invited from Puducherry Domiciles and NRI / NRI Sponsored / Foreign students for admission to MDS (Postgraduate) Courses through Postgraduate Dental Entrance Examination – 2012, In Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry for the academic year 2012-2013 in the following Categories:

Puducherry Domiciles / Residents (General – 3, MBC – 1 & SC – 1)

Speciality: Prosthodontics - 1 Oral Pathology and Microbiology - 1 Oral Medicine & Radiology - 1 Conservative Dentistry - 1 Periodontics - 1 NRI / NRI Sponsored / Foreign Students Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery - 1

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who are completing their Internship not later than 31.03.2012 are eligible to apply. Candidates seeking admission under Puducherry Domiciles Category should be an Indian National and a domicile / resident of Puducherry. PGDEE-2012: Candidates seeking admission to MDS Course for the academic year 2012-13 should appear in the Postgraduate Dental Entrance Examination (PGDEE – 2012), on 15.01.2012.

 

The Postgraduate Dental Entrance Examination shall be held at Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry-605 006. (Only One Centre)

 

Admission Procedure: Admission to MDS Course is based on the marks obtained in the PGDEE-2012 only.

A separate merit list will be prepared for the candidates appearing under NRI / NRI Sponsored/Foreign Students quota.

 

Application Procedure: Cost of Application and Information Bulletin For Puducherry

Domiciles: General/MBC/OBC Category In person - 2000/- By post - 2050/- SC Category In person- 600/- By post - 650/- For NRI / NRI Sponsored / Foreign students In person - 4000/- (in Indian rupees) or equivalent in US dollars By Post - 4200/- (in Indian rupees) or equivalent in US dollars Application forms along with Information Bulletin may be obtained from the Office of The Registrar, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute Of Dental Sciences, Gorimedu, Puducherry-605006 or SBI Branch, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences campus, Gorimedu, Puducherry in person or by enclosing a crossed Demand Draft drawn in any Nationalised Banks in favour of the Director, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, payable at Puducherry along with a requisition letter. Money Orders / Postal Orders / cheques etc. will not be accepted. The candidates can also apply in the application form downloadable at http://mgpgi.puducherry.gov.in together with the prescribed fee by Demand Draft only in the name of the Director, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, payable at Puducherry. For detailed information, please refer the Information Bulletin. The application form duly filled in with all enclosures (Attested copies of certificates etc.) should reach the Director, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Gorimedu, Puducherry– 605 006 on or before 03.01.2012 by 12.30 P.M. Applications which are incomplete, defective / without prescribed fee or received after the due date and time shall be rejected summarily and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. This Institution shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit.
