- What is the eligibility for the courses?
As prescribed by MCI / DCI, candidates who have passed their M.B.B.S. or B.D.S. from an institution recognised by MCI / DCI and have completed (or are expecting to complete their internship by 30/04/08) are eligible for the courses. Candidates should also meet other requirements as prescribed by MCI / DCI.
- Is the Entrance Test open only to Karnataka students?
No, this test is open to all the eligible students in the country.
- Are candidates applying from outside the state of Karnataka eligible to get the benefit of lower eligibility qualifying marks?
Yes, in the case of SC and ST candidates only. But only Karnataka OBC candidates can seek the benefit of lower eligibility in qualifying marks provided the OBC certificate as applicable issued by the competent authorities is furnished in support of the claim.

- I have finished my M.B.B.S. a few years ago. Am I eligible for these courses?
You can apply for the notified courses, as long as you fulfil the basic eligibility as prescribed by MCI / DCI.
- Is there an age limit for admission to the courses?
No, there is no age limit for admission to the courses.
- I am interested in applying for certain courses, but these are not listed in the course list provided in the brochure.
The course list provided in the brochure is limited to only those courses offered by COMEDK Member Institutions.
- When is the last date to apply?
All filled-in applications must reach the office of COMEDK on or before 05th January 2008 Saturday, by 1:30pm. Applications received after the stipulated date and time will be liable for rejection.
- What is the procedure of selection?
For the academic year 2008-2009, selection of seats for the Post Graduate courses in Member Institutions will be based on merit, taking into account the performance of the candidate in COMEDK PGET-2008, and Counselling, COMEDK Entrance Test and Publication of Test Score and Rank List will be followed by Central Counselling (Single Window System). The details of the arrangement made will be published in due course on our website.
- How will I know my test results?
The results will be intimated to all the eligible candidates individually. The same will also be available on our website.
- If I have 5 clarifications in the answer key, then do I send a DD of Rs.100 or Rs.500?
You have to send a DD of Rs.500. (Rs.100 per clarification) along with the format (Appendix-II of Brochure)
- I want to seek clarification of my test score. Should I send a DD of Rs.100/-?
You have to send a DD of Rs.100. (Rs.100 per OMR sheet) along with the format (Appendix-III of Brochure)
- Would I get a refund for the amount, which I have sent along with my clarification/s?
You would be entitled for a refund only to the extent your clarification/s is/are upheld by the academic committee.
- What are the enclosures to be sent along with the filled in application form?
The following documents have to be sent along with the filled in application form as enclosures. Note: Send the Application in A4 size envelops only. Do not fold the application form. Kindly arrange the documents in the following order: 1) COMEDK Application form. 2) COMEDK copy of Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof in the prescribed form duly attested by the head of the institution where he/she has studied last 3) DD for Rs 1500/- drawn in favour of COMEDK-2008 payable at Bangalore (mention your application number on the back of DD) 4) Additional copy of your photograph (mention your application number on the back of the photograph) 5) Photocopies of all marks cards including that of failed year/semester if any(First Year/Semester to Final Year/Semester) 6) Photocopy of Attempt Certificate 7) Photocopy of Degree Certificate / Provisional Degree Certificate / Internship Completion Certificate / Internship Completed Certificate / Registration Certificate. Any application received by COMEDK without the required enclosures will be liable for rejection.
- Can I send a black & white photograph?
The Photographs to be provided in the application form, Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof and the extra copy of photograph have to be identical, in Colour and clear, and should not be more than 6 months old. Application with smudged / tampered or hazy photograph will not be accepted.
- What is a minority Institution and who is eligible to be admitted under minority Quota?
Minority institutions are broadly of two types: 1) Religious minority 2) Linguistic minority The minority status is restricted to Karnataka Candidates only. Minority College is entitled to admit candidates from their own minority group only. Under COMEDK the following minority colleges are enlisted. Candidates seeking admission only under minority status should have secured not less than 50% in COMEDK PGET 2008
- Where should the applications be sent and to whom should it be addressed?
