Chettinad University invites applications for admission to MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Allied Health Sciences courses for the academic year 2012-13

MBBS (4½ years plus 1 year internship)
(Recognized by MCI, New Delhi)

Eligibility

Age limit: Should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, 2012

Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed HSC/CBSE/ICSE in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany and Zoology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 75% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany and Zoology

B.Sc Nursing (4 years inclusive of 1 year internship)
(Recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai)

Eligibility

Age Limit: Should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, 2012

Educational qualification: A pass in Higher Secondary/equivalent examination with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate

5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates

Candidates who have passed the HSC in Vocational stream are not eligible to apply

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (2 years)
(Recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai)

Post Basic Diploma Programs in Nursing (1 year)
(Recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council)

Post Basic Diploma: Cardiothoracic Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Emergency and Disaster Nursing, Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery, Neuroscience Nursing, Neonatal Nursing, Operation Room Nursing

B.Sc Allied Health Sciences (4 years inclusive of 1 year internship)

B.Sc Allied Health Sciences: Cardiac Technology, Anesthesia Technology, Clinical Lab Technology, Renal Dialysis Technology, Radiology and Imaging Sciences Technology, Organ Transplant Technology

Candidates who have passed the HSC in Vocational stream are eligible

How to apply

MBBS: Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Registrar, (Administrative Block, Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Chettinad Health City campus) on payment of Rs 1000/- (Rs one thousand only) by cash or by means of a demand draft

If the application form is downloaded from the www.chettinadhealthcity.com a demand draft for Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of Chettinad Academy of Research and Education payable at Chennai to be enclosed

The duly filled in application form should reach the Registrar, Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Chettinad Health City Campus, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Kelambakkam-603103, Kancheepuram District on or before 23rd April, 2012

Hall Ticket will be sent by the University before the date of entrance examination

The All India Level Common under graduate Medical Entrance Examination will be held on 06th May, 2012, Sunday

Entrance examination centres: Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi

All other courses

Date of issue of application: 04th April, 2012, Wednesday
