All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has issued the notification for admission into the following disciplines of M.Sc/M.Biotechnology and B.Sc courses, offered in the upcoming session commencing from August, 2011

M.Sc (Master of Science): Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physiology, Pharmacology, Perfusion Technology, M.Sc (Nuclear Medicine Technology)

M.Biotechnology (Master of Biotechnology)

M.Sc Nursing (Master of Science Nursing): Cardiological/CTVS, Neuro-Sciences, Paediatrics, Psychiatric

B.Sc (Hons) Nursing (Bachelor of Science (Hons) (for female candidates only)

B.Sc (Hons) Para Medical Courses (Bachelor of Science (Hons): Opthalmology Techniques, Medical Technology in Radiography

B.Sc Nursing (post certificate) (Bachelor of Science Nursing)

How to apply: Interested candidates can apply online as well as offline

To apply online, one can log on to the AIIMS’s official website http://aiimsexams.org/ and fill up the online application form

The application fee is Rs 1000/- for general/OBC candidates (Rs 800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) which is inclusive of examination fee. This application fee has to be paid through a challan form (that can be download from the aforementioned website while applying online) in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI)

Transaction processing fee (as applicable) will be payable to the bank by the applicant

The online application facility will be available from 04th April, 2011 to 30th April, 2011 up to 1.00 p.m.

However, one can obtain the prospectus and application form by speed post/ registered post by sending a requisition letter along with a crossed Bank draft of Rs 1050/- (Rs 850/- for SC/ST category)

The demand draft should be drawn in favor of the Accounts officer (exams), AIIMS-M.Sc/B.Sc courses 2011 payable at New Delhi and should be valid up to six months (up to September/ October 2011)

The envelope heading request for application form for M.Sc/B.Sc courses entrance examination 2011 and request letter with the address (in capital letters and pin code) at which the application form is required should be sent

The request must reach the Assistant controller of examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-110608 on or before 25th April, 2011

Prospectus-cum-application form can also be obtained in person from the reception counter of examination section, AIIMS, against a Bank draft of Rs 1000/- (Rs 800/- for SC/ST category), drawn in favor of Accounts officer (exams), AIIMS-M.Sc/B.Sc courses-2011

Foreign national candidates are exempted from appearing in the entrance examination. Their admission will be made on the basis of marks/grades secured by them in the qualifying examination. The foreign national candidates are also required to fill in the application form prescribed by the Institute for this purpose. The application form should be routed through Diplomatic channel. Application received directly will not be entertained
