Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-full time) (2 years) (Approved by AICTE)

Two year - full time post graduate programme was introduced in July 2007 and the successful students are awarded with Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

About the Programme: The post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) Programme of Bhavan’s Usha and Lakshmi Mittal institute of management (BULMIM) is part of Bhavan’s pioneering efforts to impart knowledge and skills for the holistic development of aspiring student managers.

Duration: The programme is full-time non-residential and of two year duration comprising six trimester.

Eligibility for Admission: The minimum qualification of candidates seeking admission to the programme is bachelor’s degree in arts, science, law, commerce, medicine, engineering or technology from any recognized university in India and abroad or an equivalent degree or diploma recognized by UGC.

In addition, the candidate must have appeared at any of the major national level management aptitude test such as CAT, MAT, XAT or ATMA.





Procedure for Admission: The information bulletin and the application form can be obtained from the office on the payment of Rs. 1100/- in cash or Rs. 1100/ - by a demand draft drawn in favour of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan payable at New Delhi. For NRI sponsored / International candidates, the equivalent amount is payable. The fee for prospectus and application shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

The application forms can also be downloaded from our website (www.bvbspccm.org) or (www.bulmim.ac.in) and the same will be accepted by the Institute on payment of Rs. 1100/- drawn in favour of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan payable at New Delhi.

Selection Process: Successful candidates demonstrate their abilities through the application and essays, the two references and the compulsory face-to-face interview. Please note that only short listed candidates are called for interview. Admission to the PGDM Programme at Bulmim is merit based. Short listing of candidates is done on the basis of their cumulative performance in written examination & interview through three stages process in addition to academic performance up to graduation

Stage 1: CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA (management entrance examination)

Stage 2: Group discussion (GD) and test

Stage 3: Personal interview (PI)

Placement Assistance: The Institute has an active placement cell which facilitates students in obtaining suitable positions. It continuously counsels and guides the students in their endeavors to plan their long term goals. The Institute encourages students to actively involve themselves in the placement activities.

Fees: Total Tuition fees (2009-2011), Rs. 4.15 Lakhs plus Rs. 10,000 security deposit (one time payment, refundable). The other expenses, if any, are on actuals.

The payment of fee would be as follows: Rs. 1,15,000/- plus Rs. 10,000/- at the time of admission offer to the students. Rs. 1,00,000/- in first week of December 1st year, Rs. 1,00,000/- in first week of July next year, Rs. 1,00,000/- in first week of December next year. Fee includes tuition fee, cost of books and reading material. Laptop is currently provided to each student without any additional cost.

Academic Calendar

Term-1: 1st July 2009 to 30th September, 2009

Term-2: 3rd October, 2009 to 10th January, 2010

Term-3: 11th January, 2010 to 09th April, 2010

Term-4: 1st July 2010 to 30th September 2010

Term-5: 3rd October 2010 to 10th January 2011

Term-6: 11th January 2011 to 09th April 2011

October is schedule for BOPP training, April-May-June is schedule for summer internship training, term 1, 2, 3 will fall in 2009-10 and term 4, 5, 6 will fall in 2010-11, Institute reserves the right to make changes in the academic schedule.

Placement of students for summer, BOPP and BOPP is an off-going exercise in this institute during the programme
