Eligibility: Candidate should be a graduate from a statutory university having undergone a fulltime bachelor’s degree programme with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks
Defence category candidate should be child/ward of armed forces personnel

Fill online application for SIMS from SIMS website www.sims.edu by 10th January, 2012
With your ID and password of SNAPTEST go to our website www.sims.edu and fill the SIMS application online, with payment of fees Rs1000/- through Net banking/credit card/debit card or demand draft
You need not to take hard copy of online application
Please read the instructions given in Homepage of SIMS application form carefully. Filling up and bringing of hard copy of Appendix A/B/C/D/E is mandatory at the time of GE and II (Group Exercise and Individual Interaction) for confirming your category and eligibility
Take a print out of your declaration form (i.e. Appendix ‘E’) as well as printout of relevant appendix A/B/C/D at the time of SIMS Registration. SIMS Registration is finally closing on 10th January, 2012(till 6.00 p.m.)
The Result of SNAP test will be declared on 12th January, 2012
After the SNAP result, SIMS merit list will be drawn around 19th January, 2012
Therefore, with the online application no documents or appendices are required to be attached
The documents as given above to be brought only on your short listing as per merit, by hand in original and a photocopy at the time of GE (Group Exercise), II (Individual Interaction), scheduled on 4th-5th of February, 2012 for verification and acceptance
Appendix A/B/C/D/E are attached with this prospectus for your information and to the needful at the time of registering to SIMS
Personality Assessment: Candidates short listed through SNAP examination will undergo a personality assessment process scheduled on 4th-5th February, 2012
Final list of selected candidates will be released in last week of February, 2012 based on the combined score of SNAP test, personality assessment and parameters indicated in application form

Defence Officers get direct admission for full time MBA while on study leave on approval from respective Service HQ. Please fill up the admission form online. The form should be submitted to SIMS on or before 30th May, 2012 along with payment of Rs 1000/- by cash/demand draft in favor of Director, SIMS payable at Pune
Defence Open Category: 80% vacancies shall be allotted to defence personnel and their dependents (children/wards) only on the basis of their merit derived from their performance in the entrance examination and GE and II
Defence Special Reservation Category: 10% vacancies are under Special Reservation quota and will cater for dependents of defence personnel affected as; Killed in action (War, Counter-Insurgency or War- like operations); Disabled in action (War, Counter-Insurgency or War-like operations) with more than 50 percent disability; Next of kin of service personnel who have died/disabled while in service and are awarded Special Family Pension/Liberalized Family Pension
Admission would be subject to condition that the candidate meets the laid qualitative requirements and will be as per merit derived from their performance in the entrance examination and GE and II
Industry Sponsored Category: 10% of the total vacancies for MBA program at SIMS are allotted to civilians recommended/sponsored by industry. The qualitative requirements and selection process for this category are as mentioned earlier. This category of admissions is meant to give an opportunity to industry to sponsor candidates to enhance their relationships with SIMS and the campus placement opportunities of the institute. The following may be noted
The fees for such students will be two and a half times more than that of Defence Category Students
They have to go through the SNAP test and selection process, as other candidates
The company, which sponsors a candidate, must under-take to visit SIMS for campus placements
Selection will be as per merit

Officers on Study Leave: Serving defence officers’ are permitted to undergo full time MBA program whilst on Study Leave, as per Service HQ regulations
The term defence personnel would mean only those serving/retired defence personnel from the Army, Navy and Air Force who fall in the category of ex-servicemen as laid down vide Ministry of Defence letter No.36034/5/85-Estt (SCT) dated 14th April, 1987
International Students: Admission procedure for international students applying to Symbiosis Institutes for admission is as indicated below
Foreign National (FN): You are eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if you hold a Foreign Passport
Person of Indian Origin (PIO): You are eligible to apply as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) if you have a PIO card, and are a citizen of a country other than India
Non Resident Indian (NRI): You are eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if you have appeared for your last qualifying exam (equivalent to Indian 10+2) outside India, and have appeared for your graduation either in India or outside India

Admissions in all categories are subject to the condition that the candidate meets the laid down quantitative requirements and qualifies by merit through the entire selection process. The Institute does not take any capitation fee or donation against admissions. Any solicitation in this regard may immediately be reported to the Director, SIMS
Candidate for full time programs should be a graduate from a statutory university having undergone a full-time bachelor’s degree program with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks as indicated in the mark-sheet provided by University
Defence category candidates should be dependents (son/daughter) of serving defence personnel/ex- servicemen as indicated in admissions categories
Candidates scheduled to appear in the graduation examination up to 15th June, 2012 may also apply
The cases of those selected for admission will be treated as provisional and the admissions in such cases will be considered only on submission of original mark sheet of University, through their colleges, immediately on declaration of results provided they fulfill the requirement of minimum 50% of marks
Admission will be cancelled in case of failures or in respect of those with less percentage of marks (even 49.99% cannot not be accepted)
The grounds that the student has applied for revaluation/or is reappearing for the exam will not be accepted

SIMS offers Executive Education programs to help corporate participants succeed in the rapidly changing world of business. This program is run over a period of 2½ years in the weekends on part-time basis for working professionals
Strength: 120 students
Eligibility: A student seeking admission for the programme must possess bachelor’s degree of any statutory university or any other recognized foreign university with three years work experience after graduation
Class Timing: On week days (Monday to Saturday) evening classes or it is also proposed to start weekend classes depending on the candidates response (Saturday and Sunday) full day
Specialisation: Marketing, Finance and Operations (subject to minimum 20 students per specialisation)
Selection: Based on the results of Group Exercise and Individual Interaction

Class Timing: On week days (Monday to Saturday) evening classes or it is also proposed to start weekend classes depending on the candidates response (Saturday 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. and Sunday 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.)
