Admission Notice 2012-2014

Master in Business Administration (IB): Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, HR

Number of Seats: 120

Reservation within sanctioned intake SC 15%, ST 7.5%, PwD 3%; 2 seats for kashmiri migrant; international students 15%

Candidates applying from categories other than open category are required to submit the supporting documents at the time group discussion/personal interview (if short listed)

Eligibility Criteria (for all categories): Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of any statutory University with minimum 50% (for SC/ST categories 45%) aggregate marks at graduate level. Students who are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree education may also apply. Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non fulfillment of the stated criteria. Students are not eligible till all the graduation backlogs are cleared. Graduates passing Degree examination by part time/correspondence course are not eligible. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International University

Preference: Engineering graduates, graduates from disciplines like Economics, Statistics, CA/CFA/ ICWA/ CS (completed) will be given preference. Full time work experience of more than one year will be granted preference, subject to verification of copies of work experience certificates (on company letter head for the claimed period) at the time of group discussion/personal interview (if shortlisted)

Master in Business Administration (AB)

Number of Seats: 60

Reservation within Sanctioned intake SC 15%; ST 7.5%; Physically Handicapped 3%; over and above Intake 2 seats for Kashmiri Migrant; International students 15%

Candidates applying from categories other than open category are required to submit the supporting documents at the time group discussion/personal interview (if short listed)

Eligibility Criteria (for all categories): Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of any statutory University in Agri Sciences or Agri related discipline with minimum 50% (for SC/ST categories 45%) aggregate marks at graduate level

Non Agri graduates from any statutory University with minimum 50% (for SC/ST categories 45%) marks at Graduate level, with interest in Agri Business. Students who are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree education may also apply. Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non fulfillment of the stated criteria. Students are not eligible till all graduation backlogs are cleared. Eligibility Criteria (for all categories): Bachelors candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of any statutory University in Engineering/Geology/Economics/Bio Technology/Environment Science/ Architecture with minimum 50% (for SC/ST categories 45%) aggregate marks at graduate level.
Non Engineering graduates, only with full time work experience of more than one year in Energy/Environment sector will also be considered eligible (verification of copies of work experience certificates (on company letter head for the claimed period) will be done at the time of group discussion/personnel interview (if short listed)

Executive MBA-IB

Eligibility: Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of any statutory University with at least 50% marks (for SC/ST categories 45%) at graduate level and candidates must have a minimum of three years full time work experience after completion of degree

Time Plan: The program consists of five semesters

Intake: 120

Post Graduate Diploma in International Business

Eligibility: Graduate in any stream or diploma holder with minimum two years work experience after completion of the Diploma

Time Plan: The course consists of two semesters of approximately four months each

Intake: Fifty (50)

Selection process

Phase-I: The candidate is required to appear for SNAP test on Sunday, 18th December, 2011

Candidates will be shortlisted for the group discussion/personal interview solely based on SNAP-2011 score

Phase-II: Phase-II will be held only at PUNE by Symbiosis International University

No capitation fee is charged for admission to any course at any institute of Symbiosis International University

How to Apply

Steps for Applying to SNAP: Register for SNAP through SNAP website www.snaptest.org

Pay Rs 1,550/- to SNAP towards their online registration fees and common prospectus

Steps for Applying to SIIB: Register online for SIIB through SIIB website www.siib.ac.in (candidates are not required to forward printed application form to SIIB)

Pay Rs 1,000/- towards registration fees to SIIB by way of cash against cash payment of Rs1000/- at SIIB office

Through AXIS Bank against cash payment of Rs 1,000/- at AXIS Bank Challan available on SIIB website www.siib.ac.in

After payment please send the institute copy of challan to SIIB to enable us to authenticate your payment

By sending a crossed demand draft for Rs 1000/- drawn in favor of Director, Symbiosis Institute of International Business payable at Pune

Please mention your name and SNAP-ID behind the demand draft or when paying cash at SIIB/Axis Bank

Candidates can pay registration fees online through SIIB website www.siib.ac.in

Registration fees for SIIB is Rs 1,000/- which allows a candidate to select any one of the programmes offered by SIIB. Candidate is required to pay an additional amount of Rs 1,000/- for each selected programme of SIIB

Candidates are required to register separately for SNAP and SIIB

Please note that merely registering online for SIIB will not be considered. Payment towards SIIB registration is mandatory

SIIB registration process is complete only after receipt of registration fees at SIIB (cash at SIIB/AXIS Bank or demand draft or online)

The receipt of registration fees can be confirmed by candidates by checking the payment status at their home page of SIIB online registration section

All supporting documents (caste certificate/work experience certificate) to be submitted at the time of group discussion/personnel interview (if short-listed). Please note that false claims will result in automatic disqualification

Register online for SNAP and purchase prospectus-2011; appear for SNAP test on 18th December, 2011; register online for SIIB through SIIB website www.siib.ac.in; pay SIIB registration charges by stipulated day and time

If sending demand draft to SIIB, put name, SNAP ID, e-mail ID and programme applied for on the reverse of demand draft; if paying cash at SIIB, give name and SNAP ID; if paying cash at AXIS Bank, give name and SNAP ID and send copy of institute challan to SIIB Office
