(Correspondence Course, TWO YEARS PROGRAMME)
Application are invited for admissions in the MBA (CC)
Programme for the session 2008-09
ELIGIBILITY
CATEGORY-1: BUSSINESS EMPLOYEES/OTHERS-50 SEATS
Admission to the first semester of MBA Programme will also be open to candidates who have passed Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized University or an examination recognized thereto or have passed the final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or equivalent or Institute of Company Secretaries of India or equivalent or Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India of equivalent with working experience of one year. The candidate should have at least 50% marks in graduation (relaxation of 5 percent in case of those having working experience of one year of more).
(The university may consider other degrees to this list of equivalent professional degree/qualification if required).
CATEGORY-2: DEFENCE OFFICERS -50 SEATS
- ALL Commissioned officers with a minimum of 5 years of commissioned service will be eligible to join the course.
- To be eligible for admission to MBA Programme a Defence Officer must have passed either a Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in any Discipline with atlest 50% marks or must have undergone successfully.
- N.D.A/ I.M.A/Any other equivalent courses viz O.T.S/O.T.A/Indian Air Force Academy/Naval Academy; and
- At least one of the following courses:
- Defence Service Staff College Course (b) Technical Staff Officers Course (c) Long Defence management Course (d) Senior Defence Management Course (e) Higher Command Course (f) Advanced Air Armament Staff Officer Course (g) Specialized Advanced Course of Various Arms and Services.
(iii) They should have a meritorious record of service. In case of vacant seats in any category, the seats may be shifted from one category to another with the permission of the Head of the Department.

A dual degree programme, One-Plus-One MBA, in association with Wilkes University, USA, is also being offered with effect from this Academic Session, 2008-09. The programme was advertised in the HT and The Tribune dated 5th June, 2008 and the last date for applying is 15th June, 2008. Under this programme the candidates will undergo an extensive study programme for one year at Punjabi University, Patiala and the second academic year at wikes University, USA. The forms and the ordinances for this programme also available on the university’s website www.punjabiuniversity.ac.in .
