Admission to the two-year Full Time Management Courses
Viz. MBA, MBA (IB), MBA (HR) and MBA (Bio-Technology at
UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SCHOOL, Chandigarh and Ludhiana Regoinal Center

Eligibility for MBA, MBA (IB), MBA (HR): A recognized Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate or a pass in final examination conducted by ICAI/ICWAI/ICSI or AMIE with 50% marks (see UBS handbook of information 2012)

Eligibility for MBA (Biotech): A bachelor’s degree in Biological sciences, i.e. Biology, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Veterinary Sciences, B.E./B.Tech (Biotechnology), B.Sc (Bioinformatics), MBBS, BDS and B.E. (Informatics) with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (see UBS handbook of information 2012)

Candidates appearing in the final year examination of bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply and can take the test provisionally. Reservation as per norms approved by Panjab University. Concession of 5% marks in the eligibility requirements of SC/ST/BC candidates.

Admission procedure: Take common admission test (CAT) 2011to be conducted by IIMs. No separate entrance test will be conducted by UBS or Panjab University for these programmes

:Application Form and Handbook of Information-2012 will be available at Post Office, Sector-14, Panjab University, Chandigarh on payment of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST candidates) from October 5, 2011 to October 29, 2011. Forms can also be obtained by post up to October 21, 2011 from Manager, Publication Bureau, Panjab University, Chandigarh, by enclosing a Crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 2080/- (Rs. 1080/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh and a self-addressed envelope (30x25 cm).

Application form can also be downloaded from our website: http://ubs.puchd.ac.in and submitted along with a Bank Draft for Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh. Completed Forms for MBA, MBA (IB), MBA (HR), MBA (Biotech) at UBS, PU, Chandigarh must reach Dean, Faculty of Business Management & Commerce, University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh – 160014 latest by 5:00 pm on October 29, 2011.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT 2011 shall appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Details of selection process are available in UBS Handbook of Information – 2012.

Important Note:

Panjab University shall use CAT 2011 score for short-listing of candidates for Two Year Full Time MBA programmes at USB, PU, Chandigarh. IIMs have no role either in selection process or in the conduct of these programmes.

Panjab University does not take any responsibility for postal delay in delivery or loss in transit of Application Form.

Eligibility for MBA

Forms can also be obtained by post from October 31, 2011 to November 16, 2011 from Manager, Publication Bureau, Panjab University, Chandigarh, by enclosing a Crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 2080/- (Rs. 1080/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh and a self-addressed envelope (30x25 cm).
