School of Energy management was started by MDI Gurgaon with the support of ministry of power and USAID. The school offers PGDM (Energy management) under the national management programme. The programme is of 15 months duration; 12 months are residential and 3 months in respective organizations for dissertation work

Thrust of the programme: Develop talent for power and energy sector of India and equip participants with knowledge in the discipline of management

Acquaint participants with national and international best practices and innovations in community-based participative models

Facilitate awareness, understanding and implementation of key provisions of enactments relating to power and energy sector

Eligibility: Three-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline recognized by AIU/AICTE

Minimum 5 years of post qualification executive work experience in the energy sector in Chennai/state/private/ other organizations as on 30 June, 2010

For self sponsored candidates age should not be more than 32 years as on 30 June, 2010

For sponsored candidates age should not be more than 45 years as on 30 June, 2010

Admission procedure: Candidates will have to appear for a screening test conducted by MDI Gurgaon

Date of the test: Sunday, 14th February 2010

Centres of the test: Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata

Short-listed candidates will have to appear for the interview
