Admissions information
Eligibility criteria: Graduates in any discipline with 50% minimum marks from any university recognized by the association of Indian universities are eligible. Candidates in their final year of graduation may also apply.
Having work experience is not a requirement for admission to the program, however candidates with work experience are welcome.
Entrance test score submission: ITM uses standardized management entrance test scores as a part of its overall selection process. Candidates are not selected/disqualified on the basis of their test scores only. The test score is just one part of an overall candidate profile. The following test scores are accepted, CAT (Common admission test), XAT (Xavier's admission test), GMAT (Graduate management aptitude test), MAT (Management aptitude test)
Submit an attested copy of your test score card along with the application form. If you have not received your test score, give details of test registration number, test centre code, etc.
(Note: ITM uses the CAT score for short-listing candidates called for group discussions/ personal interview. IIM’s have no role in selection or in conducting the program)
Scholarships and financial aid: ITM Business school awards a limited number of scholarships/assistantships for exceptional students who are financially challenged. These range from a tuition fee waiver of 25% to 100%, often in exchange for on-campus employment as research assistants, administrative assistants, event managers etc.
Candidates seeking a scholarship award must submit their applications before January 31, 2010.The admissions committee awards scholarships at its sole discretion, selecting candidates based on the criteria mentioned below. Additional weightage is often, but not always given to candidates with 2+ years work experience, previous masters level education (non-Business), and financial condition of the candidate and his family.
Bank finance/ education loan: If you are looking to finance your education through a bank, you will be pleased to know that ITM is listed as an approved Institution at all nationalized banks, and has an excellent reputation amongst private banks and financial institutions too. Most education loan schemes offer delayed repayment, which allows students to complete their programs and settle into their careers, without the immediate load of monthly installments. ITM Business school also has an agreement with Andhra Bank and is a preferred partner for educational loans.
Purchase an application kit: The PGDM 2010-12 application kit may be acquired at a cost of Rs. 200/-. The processing fee, to be submitted along with the application, is Rs. 800/-. Program fees are payable only at the time of accepting admission. The selection process for all ITM Business school campuses is centrally conducted at ITM Business school, Navi Mumbai. The application kit, which contains the PGDM prospectus and other materials is a definitive source of information about ITM Business school and the program.
There are several ways to purchase an application kit: (i) In-person - Candidates may purchase an application kit for Rs.200/-from any of the ITM Campuses in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderbad, Navi Mumbai and Warangal, at all IMS Learning Centers across India, at all PT Education Centers across India, at all TIME centers across India, at all Career launcher centres across India, at Cerebral heights (ii) By post - Candidates may purchase an application kit by post, send a cheque or demand draft for INR 200/-, in favor of Institute for technology and management to the address below- requesting a PGDM application kit.

Application procedure: Candidates seeking admission to ITM post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) need to fill up separate application forms for CAT and ITM.
The admission form should be duly filled out in its entirety and must be accompanied with the following supporting documents, (i) Processing fee of Rs. 800/- in the form of a demand draft in favor of Institute for technology and management, payable at Mumbai (ii) photocopies of all mark sheets (starting with standard X) (iii) photocopies of CAT/XAT/GMAT admit cards (iv) attested copy of your test score card. (if test score card not yet received give details of test registration number, test centre code, etc.) (v) photocopies of proof of work experience, if any (vi) medical record form (vii) scholarship form (if applying for scholarship) (viii) address labels (included) with your correct mailing address (ix) Six passport photographs, please do not send original certificates
Download a soft copy of prospectus and application form: Candidates may also download the PGDM prospectus and application form. You must print and fill out the application form and sent it by courier to the admissions department along with a demand draft of INR 1000/- (as above).

Selection process: The admissions committee for the PGDM program consists of the chairman of admissions, the chairman of ITM trust and the individual directors of each ITM PGDM campus.
Selection into the ITM PGDM program at all campuses is conducted centrally through ITM Navi Mumbai.
Group discussion/personal interview: Several group discussion and personal interview sessions will be conducted starting in February 2009. For selected candidates, the intimation for interview and group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for group discussion and personal interviews and final admissions is based on multiple factors as follows, past academic performance, quality and content of the answers in the application form, work experience, if any, in terms of job content and organization, group discussion and interview performance, extra curricular activities, other interests and accomplishments, CAT/XAT/GMAT/MAT score
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be called for interview/group discussion and offered final admission. CAT/XAT/ GMAT score is NOT the only criteria for selection in ITM.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for group discussion/interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
