Admission Announcement - Post Graduate Programme in Forestry Management
(Two-Year Full Time Course 2008 – 2010 Batch)
IIFM is a leading sectoral management Institute in Asia and ranked 2 nd among the sectoral management schools in India. The programme is recognized by all India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) & Association of Indian Universities.
Placement: 100% campus placement with highest annual package of approx Rs. 22.00 lakh (overseas) & Rs. 7.00 lakh (Indian) for the last batch, with an average of 6.7 lakh per annum. Organizations that participated in campus recruitments are: - Olam International. HDFC, ICICI, ITC, Ltd. CMFR, Asia carbon, Aid-et-Action, India Bulls, FWWB, NCDEX, Aditya Birla group & J.K. Crops.
Eligibility: The minimum eligibility criteria for admission is at least a three year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/ AICTE as eligible for Post Graduate Studies with 50% marks or equivalent CGPGA (45% for SC/ST or persons with Disability Category).
Reservations: As per the Government of India norms.
Candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories are advised to enclose attested photocopy of their caste/category certificate at the time of submission of application form.
Candidates appearing for the final year graduate examination are also eligible to apply, provided they complete it by June 30,2008

How to Apply
Step 1: All applicants seeking admission in PGDFM at IIFM have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) to be held on 18 th November 2007. The CAT application form and bulletin can be obtained form-selected branches of UTI/ Vijaya Banks from July 16 th till August 16,2007. The last date for submitting CAT Application is 8 th September 2007. The IIFM will use the CAT application is 8 th September 2007. The IIFM will use the CAT score only for short-listing the candidates for postgraduate programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
Step 2: IIFM Application Form: Candidate should also obtain IIFM application form personally or y sending Demand draft of RS. 700/- (350/- for SC &ST) only in favour of The Director IIFM, payable at Bhopal. The Candidate should keep a photocopy of Bank Draft with them, as it would be needed at the time of filling the application.
Alternatively, the application form can also be downloaded from the website given below but in such cases the filled in forms must accompany a Bank Draft or Rs. 700/- (Rs. 350/- for SC/ST).
Step 3: GD/Interview: Short-listed candidates shall be called for group Discussion and Interview at IIFM, Bhopal during February/March 2008.
Foreign Nationals/NRI: Admission under these categories will be based on separate selection system as mentioned in IIFM Admission bulletin 2008 – 2010.
