ADMISSION TO MBA PROGRAMME-2007, BASED ON CAT-2006

Applications are invited for admission to full-time MBA Programme 2007-2009 at Mesra, and our Extension Centres at Lalpur, Noida and Jaipur For detailed notification please see website.

Eligibility: (A) Candidates must have appeared in CAT 2006. They must hold a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3), or equivalent in any discipline recognized by UGC/ Ministry of HRD/AIU, with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST) in graduation in aggregate of all subjects. They must also have minimum of 60% for SC/ST in Class 10 (all subjects) and class 12 (best 5 subjects). Candidates graduating in 2007 can also apply, provided they can submit mark sheets by 30 September 2007. Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning progrmmes are eligible only if they acquired such qualifications as working professionals/while in employment.

(B) They must have Verbal Percentile Score at least 40 (25 or SC/ST) and Total Percentile Score at least 40 (25 or SC/ST) in CAT-2006.

Selection Procedure : Counselling will be held at our Centres at Jaipur, Noida, Mesra and/or Lalpur, and the schedule will be displayed on 7 march 2007 on our website. Provisional Selection wil be based on Total percentile Scores in CAT-2006 of such candidates who have applied and fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above, due consideration being given to choice (S) of Place of Study made in application form. If seats remain vacant at any centre, there may be subsequent notification on our Website: No separate intimation will be send to candidate s.

How to Apply: Information Brochure and form available form all our Centres from 06 Jan 2007, in person on payment of Rs.1,200, and by post on payment of Rs. 1,300(all payments by crossed DD in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi). Postal requests must include letter & two slips of paper (10x10 cm) with name, address in capitals and phone number. (See website for addresses of cour Centres)

The institute will use CAT 2006 for short-listing candidates for its full-time MBA programmes. IIMs have no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
