Admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme starting July 2010

ADMISSION TO MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) PROGRAMME STARTING JULY 2010. The LMT School of Management offers MBA and BE/MBA with specialization in Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Environmental and Energy Management and Information systems.

ELIGIBILTY:
FOR MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) – BE/ B Tech degree in any discipline OR M.Sc./ MA in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Physics/ Operations Research/ Information Science/ Information Technology OR MCA with at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA or equivalent grade from a recognized university.

Candidates with Non-engineering Bachelor’s Degree in Science will also be considered for admission provided they undertake a one year Bridge Course for direct entry to the MBA programme offered by LMT School of Management. Admission to one year Bridge Course for MBA programme will be open to a candidate having Bachelor’s Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

METHOD OF SELECTION:
Candidates appearing for CAT will be considered for admission through GD and Personal Interview. The candidates who did not take CAT will be required to take a formal test to be conducted by LMT School of Management, Thapar University, Patiala on 7th February 2010.

Candidates with work experience will be given due preference provided they show enough aptitude towards academic pursuit.

HOW TO APPLY:
The candidates can secure the application form cum information brochure from Deputy Registrar (Academic), Thapar University, Patiala on payment of Rs. 1250 by a crossed DD in favour of Registrar, Thapar University, Patiala. Application forms can also be downloaded from the university website.
Information Brochure will be available from 1st December 2009
