Admissions for Integrated LLM/JSD and Ph.D Programs

NUSRL, Ranchi invites applications in the prescribed format for admissions to following programs

Four year Integrated Ph.D program: It is eight semester integrated program, the first four semesters of which shall consist of course work along with courses of specialization

Last four semesters shall be devoted for preparation and submission of Ph.D Thesis

Successful completion of the program shall lead to the award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)

Eligibility: LLB or graduation in relevant discipline with Honors in the subject in which the student want to pursue his/her Ph.D

The student must have a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade point in the qualifying examination

Three year Integrated Doctor of Juridical Sciences (JSD)/LLM and Ph.D programs: It is six semester integrated program where first three semesters shall consist of course work along with courses of specialization

Fourth semester shall be devoted for Dissertation

Fifth and sixth semesters shall be devoted towards preparation and submission of Ph.D Thesis

Successful completion of the same shall lead to the award of Doctor of Juridical Sciences (JSD)

Eligibility: LLB from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% in aggregate or an equivalent grade point in the qualifying examination

Two year Ph.D program: It is two year (four semester) research program where the student is required to be on campus as resident for a minimum of 60 days during the course of four semesters

 

Eligibility: Post graduation in the concerned discipline or subject, from an Indian or foreign University, having at least 55% in aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination

Students must take note of the following all research programs are completely residential (except mentioned otherwise)

The students should apply in the prescribed format (available on University website) by 15th May, 2011

Short listed candidates shall be intimated through e-mail by 20th May, 2011 and they will have to fill-up the second round of application along with examination fee of Rs 2500/- by 15th June, 2011

The date of entrance test shall be intimated by 20th June, 2011

Candidates who have been awarded UGC-JRF and UGC-NET in the relevant subject shall have to directly appear for group discussion and interview, the date for which shall be intimated after the entrance test

The details of fee for the entire program shall be available on the website in April 2011
