National Law University Orissa admission test 2011-12

The National Law University, Orissa, at Cuttack, is a premier Law University estd by the Act IV of 2008 and is a member of the existing group of National Law Universities of India

It is situated in one of the oldest cities of India, Cuttack that retains an old world charm as well as exudes a modern flavour being the twin city of Bhubaneshwar

NLUO can be reached in approximately 45 minutes from the Biju Patnaik International Airport at Bhubaneswar

In its second year the University already has students from 25 states justifying its national character

The University invites applications for five years integrated B.A.-LL.B (Hons) and BBA-LLB (Hons) undergraduate degree programmes and Conjoint LL.M-Ph.D program for the academic year 2011-12 commencing on 11th July, 2011

B.A.-LL.B (Hons)/BBA-LL.B (Hons)

Eligibility: Senior secondary school examination (10+2 system) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (SC/ST candidates can apply with 45% marks)

Those who are appearing for the qualifying examination in 2011 may also apply

Age limit: Below 21 years as on 01st August, 2011 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

Total seats: 60 seats each for B.A.-LL.B (Hons) and BBA-LL.B (Hons)

Seats: 120; general 78; ST 14; SC 10; PwD 04; Foreign nationals 04; NRI/NRI sponsored 10

Admissions will be strictly on merit through an all India entrance examination to be conducted at Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kochi, Cuttack, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur on 22nd May, 2011, Sunday, from 3.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

If sufficient number of applications are not received for a centre, the university reserved the right to cancel the said centre and shift the applicants of that centre to another centre

Conjoint LL.M-Ph.D program

Eligibility: Candidate should have passed B.A.-LL.B/LL.B/B.L degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University and must have secured at least 60% of marks in the aggregate of the maximum marks prescribed. Those who are appearing for the qualifying examination in 2011 may also apply

Filled up application forms must reach at the below mentioned address along with a demand draft of Rs 1500/- in favor of the Registrar, National Law University, Orissa payable at Cuttack on or before 10th May, 2011

Applications received after the last date shall not be entertained
