ADMISSION NOTIFICATION ADMISSION TO B.A. LL.B. (HONS.) PROGRAMME FOR 2007-2008
Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) is a residential University and is sixth in the series of National Law Schools in India . HNLU is having recognition of University Grants Commission u/s. 2(f) & 12B of UGC Act, 1956 and also having recognition of the Bar Council of India u/s. 7(1)(i) of the Advocates Act, 1961.
Hon'ble Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, the Chief Justice of India is the Visitor of the University, Hoin'ble Mr. Justice H.L. Dattu, the Chief Justice of High Court of Chhattisgarh is the Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) M.K. Srivastava, is the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
Applications are invited for admission to Under-graduate B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) programme for 2007-2008.

a)
Eligibility :
10 + 2 Examination or equivalent with not less than 50% marks (students taking qualifying examination in March / April 2007 are also eligible to apply).

Age limit :
Below 20 years as on 1 st July 2007 (22 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

Total number of seats and Reservation:
The total number of seats is 80. 40 Seats are reserved for the candidates having Chhattisgarh as State of Domicile and 40 Seats are reserved for the candidates from other states. Reservation of seats for SC/ST candidates of Chhattisgarh will be as per State Government norms and reservation of seats for SC/ST candidates of other state will be as per Central Government norms.
Copies of the previous years' test papers are available. The same can be obtained, subject to availability, by sending a demand draft for Rs.500/- (@ Rs.75/- per question paper and inclusive of Rs.50/- towards postage) in favour of Registrar, Hidayatullah National Law University, payable at Raipur. However, the format and the structure of the National Entrance Test may vary from previous years.
Admission to the above programme is based purely on merit, assessed at the National Entrance Test to be held on 27.05.2007 at Ahmedabad, Bangalore , Bhopal , Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Delhi , Hyderabad , Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow , Mumbai, Raipur , Ranchi , Trivandrum from 11.00a.m. to 1.00 p.m. All admissions will be completed on or before 1st July, 2007 . Regular classes begin on 3rd July, 2007 .
For application and prospectus, write to the Registrar, HNLU, giving full address with Pincode with a Bank Draft for Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Registrar, HNLU payable at Raipur. Last date for issue and receipt of completed applications will be 15.04.2007. Applications can also be downloaded from our website and sent alongwith D.D. of Rs.1000/- to the University. ADMISSION TO B.A. LL.B. (HONS.) PROGRAMME FOR 2007-2008
Read the instructions carefully before filling in the Application Form
1.
Read the Regulations in the Prospectus carefully and satisfy yourself of the eligibility to take the N.E.T. and willingness to undergo the rigorous education and training offered by the National Law University.

Candidates appearing for the Pre-University or equivalent examination in March/April are also eligible for the N.E.T. However, their admission to the course will be subject to their having passed the qualifying examination with 50% of the marks in the aggregate excluding second language and production of original certificate of marks at the time of admission.

Fill in the application form in your own handwriting.
4.
Fill in the application form and all the three parts of the Admission Ticket legibly and complete in all respect. Sign across the photograph.
5.
Enclose three self-addressed envelopes of size 11"x 5" with the application.
6.
Send the filled in application form with all the enclosures by Speed Post/Courier or deliver personally to the Registrar, Hidayatullah National Law University, HNLU Bhawan, Civil Lines, Raipur-492001 (C.G.), so as to reach him on or before 15.04.2007 by 5.00 p.m. Applications received after the last date will be rejected.

Super-scribe the envelope as "For B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Admission"

Do not forget to fill in the Centre in which you want to take the Test in order of preference. University reserves the right to allot any centre other than those preferred by the candidate.
9.
Hidayatullah National Law University is a residential University and if selected, all are required to stay in the University's Hostels.
10.
The results of the test are likely to be announced by 14.06.2007 or earlier and selected candidates will be required to complete their admission formalities on or before 01.07.2007. Classes at HNLU will commence on 03.07.2007.
11.
The N.E.T. will be held on 27.05.2007 between 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
