LL.M ADMISSIONS SCHEDULE (2007-2008)

1. Sale of Prospectus & Application Form From Monday, 23 rd April 2007 for L.L.M Entrance Test to Monday, 4 th June 2007

i. By Cash : Rs 150 At Faculty of Law 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM , 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

ii. By Post : Send Draft of Rs 200/- drawn in favour of registrar, University of Delhi , Payable at Delhi , to Convenor, Admission Committee, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi latest by 22 nd May 2007 .

iii. E-form : Application form may be down loaded from website: http://www.du.ac.in (A fee of Rs 150/- will be added to Test fee of Rs 400)

2. Last date for submission of duly filled Application Form Monday 4 th June 2007 upto 5:00 PM .

3. Issue of Duplicate Admission Tickets 14 th & 15 th June 2007 . (In case of Loss of original)

4. DATE OF ENTRANCE TEST SUNDAY, 24th JUNE 2007 .

APPLICATION FOR ENTRANCE TEST


The eligible candidates may make application only on the prescribed Application Form for appearing in the Entrance Test. The Prospectus along with the prescribed Application Form will be available from Monday, 23rd April 2007 from the office of the Convenor, Admission Committee, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110007. The Last date of sale (by cash) of Forms is 4th June 2007.

ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility criteria for LL.M. Entrance Test 2007 is as follows:

a) (i) All candidates having a three-year/five-year degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognised as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.

ii) The candidates belonging to SC/ST/CW category having a three-year/five-year LL.M. degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or foreign university recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% marks or equivalent grade point in the aggregate.

iii) Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to the CW-AF category.

iv) Relaxation of upto 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to the PH category on the recommendations of the Medical Board.

ENTRANCE TEST

The LL.M. Entrance Test, 2007 will be held at Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Delhi- 110007 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Sunday, 24th June 2007. The reporting time would be 9:30 a.m. and Test will start at 10:00 a.m. after which no candidate will be permitted to enter in the examination hall.

2. The Test paper will include objective type multiple choice questions in areas viz. Indian Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Family Law, International Law, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Law and Emerging Technology and Contemporary Legal Developments.

3. The general instructions to the candidates and sample test questions shall be supplied along with this Prospectus.

4. The language of the Entrance Test will be English.

5. Each question shall carry four marks. For every correct answer four marks will be awarded and for every incorrect answer one mark will be deducted. No mark will be awarded or deducted for the question which is left unanswered.
