Eligibility :  Passed the Sr. Sec. School Exam of the CBSE or any other equivalent examination, securing an aggregate of at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/WW/Physically Challenged Categories) across four papers, one of which is English. The other three have to be from: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Psychology, History, Pol. Science, Social Sciences and Geography Sociology, Computer Science, Infromation Practices.

Age :  Minimum 17 years of age before 1st October of the year of admission. (Note : students apperaring in Senior Secondary exam. In March/April are eligible to apply provided they submit their class XII results by the first week of July.)

Selection:  A written test followed by an interview and group discussion is held to select candidates for the course.
Stage I :  The Written Entrance Examination:  An objective type written exam is held during june. The two and a half hours exam consists of Business Aptitude and General Awareness; Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability; and Proficiency in English.
Stage II: The Group Discussion and Interview:  Based on the performance in the written examination, approximately three times the number of seats for the relevant categories are called for the GD and interview.
Final selection:  For ‘General’, ‘SC’ and ‘ST’ categories, the following weightage is given : 70%  weightage to the performance in the written entrance examination; 10% weightage to the group discussion, and 20% weightage to the interview. For ‘foreign students’ and ‘children/widows fo armed personnel killed/disabled in action during the hostilities’; 1/3 weightage to the group discussion, 2/3 weightage to the interview is given.
