The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is conducted for admission to four year BTech /BPharma Courses and also five year BArch/Integrated M.Sc. and MTech programmes at seven Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi, Kanpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Mumbai, Kharagpur, Roorkee.

 



Other Institutes which admit students on IIT JEE Scores are Banaras Hindu University (Institute of Technology) Varanasi and Indian Schools of Mines, Dhanbad.

IIT JEE Examination Schedule

Paper 1 : April 8, 2007 (09.00 to 12.00 hrs)

Paper 2 : April 8, 2007 (14.00 to 17.00 hrs)

 

Paper 1 and Paper 2 will each have three seperate Sections of Physics, Chemestry and Mathematics. Both The Papers will be of Objective type, designed to test Comprehension and analytical ability of candidates

IIT JEE 2007 Eligibility :

1) A Candidate can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years. Candidates who have passed (10+2) or equivalent qualifying examination in 2006 or will be appearing in 2007 must secure at least 60% (55% for SC/ST and PD) marks in aggregate in their respective Board Examination

In case the respective Boards award letter grades, without providing a norm for converting them to equivalent percentage marks, the norms decided by the Joint Implementation Committee of JEE 2007 shall be final.

2. Candidates who have accepted admission by payment of full fees at any of the IITs, IT-BHU,Varanasi and ISM, Dhanbad will NOT be permitted to appear in JEE-2007

3. Only those Candidates whose Date of Birth falls on or after October 1, 1982 are eligible for JEE-2007. However, in case of SC/ST,PD candidates the upper age limit is relaxed by five years i.e. SC/ST and PD candidates who have born on or after October 1, 1977 are eligible.
