Eligibility Criteria for Dr YSR Horticultural University B.Sc. (Hons.) Admission 2020

  • A pass in Diploma in Horticulture course from Dr. YSRHU. (Those who are going to complete the Diploma requirements in 2019-20 academic year can also apply, but submission of Final Memorandum of Marks-cum-Pass Certificate of Diploma in Horticulture is must at the time of Admission counselling).

Age Criteria

  • The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all candidates, 25 years in respect of S.C. & S.T. candidates and 27 years in respect of Physically Challenged (Differently abled) candidates

  • Interested candidates may apply for admission in the prescribed proforma (enclosed) along with a Demand Draft of Rs.750/-for General/BC candidates and for Rs.375/- in case of SC/ST/Differently abled persons drawn in favour of the “COMPTROLLER, Dr. Y.S.R Horticultural University, payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM” Branch IFSC Code: ANDB0000550 on any Nationalized Bank (Original DD should be attached with the application form).
  • Application form duly filled in should reach “The Registrar, Dr. Y.S.R Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem-534101, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh on or before 20-10-2020 by 4.00 PM either in person or by post.
  • Applications received after the last date will not be entertained and Dr. YSRHU is not responsible for any postal delay.

  • The question paper contains questions in Telugu Medium

Syllabus

  • The Syllabus prescribed by Dr. YSRHU to Diploma in Horticulture Course.

Duration & Marks

  • Entrance test is for 2.00 hours duration and the question paper (Multiple choice objective type questions) consists of 200 multiple choice bits.

Reservation

As per rules of Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The above seats will be allocated in the ratio of 85% for local candidates and remaining 15% seats will be treated as unreserved quota.

Issue of Hall Tickets

  • The list of eligible candidates along with the Hall Ticket numbers will be displayed in the University website i.e., www.drysrhu.edu.in. Please download the Hall Ticket and attend the HORTICET test.
  • Candidates without MASK are not permitted to enter the Examination Centre.
  • Candidates are allowed to carry the following items with them into the exam centre in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

1) Gloves

2) Personal transparent water bottle

3) A simple pen

4) Exam related material (ID Card etc.,)

Qualifying Marks HORTICET-2020

  • The qualifying percentage of marks for the HORTICET-2020 is 25% of the aggregate marks and in the case of SC/ST candidates there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates in HORTICET being conducted by the Dr. YSRHU.

Results

  • The merit list of the candidates will be displayed on the University website. For the preparation of merit list in case of more than one student securing the same marks, the tie shall be resolved by considering
  • Percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying exam i.e., OGPA in Diploma in Horticulture course.
