For Admission To
5 Years Integrated M. Sc. / 6 Years M. Tech. in
Biotechnology

Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admissions to the Five Years Integrated M. Sc. / Six Years M. Tech. in Biotechnology Program of the University of Pune (Academic year 2007-2008).

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed 10+2 level examination of any recognized Board with Science subjects as a regular student with minimum 60% marks are eligible to apply. For candidates belonging to Reserved Category, the minimum percentage of marks obtained is 55%. Candidates who have appeared for the 10+2 level examination in 2007 are also eligible to appear for the test.

Reservations: 50% seats are reserved for SC, ST, DT, NT & OBC candidates as per Maharashtra Govt. rules. 3% seats are reserved for Physically handicapped students.

Mode of Admission: Admission is strictly based on the rank secured by the candidates in the merit list of the IBB Entrance Examination of 2007.

Test Centers: The examination will be held at various Centers in Pune (Maharashtra). Details regarding the Centers will be announced later on the website.

How to Apply: Online applications process will commence on April 26, 2007.

Online forms will be available on the official web-site of IBB: http://www.unipune.ernet.in/dept/ibb

The candidates would have to fill up the forms online (through Internet) followed by printing the hard copy of the form. The printed application form along with the DD of appropriate amount and the necessary documents (as specified on the website) should reach IBB office on or before May 23, 2007 on the following address: The Director Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, 2nd Floor, Bioinformatics Center, University of Pune, Ganeshkhind, Pune 411007, Maharashtra.

Examination Fee Details: Entrance Examination Fees are Rs. 600/- for Open

Category candidates and Rs. 300/- for Reserved Category candidates. The Examination Fee should be paid by Demand Draft drawn in the name of "Registrar, University of Pune", payable at Pune and drawn on any Nationalized Bank.

• Last date of acceptance of printed application forms: May 23, 2007
• Availability of downloadable admit cards on official website: May 25, 2007 onwards
• Date of entrance examination: June 10, 2007
